Pierrot

Hello, my dear!

Here, there is nothing to fear!

This kingdom is quite unknown.

But here, you take the throne!

There is no sadness in this kingdom

for here you have comfort and freedom!

You are the ruler of this kingdom that will grow,

and I will be your friend, the friendly Pierrot.

Ask me to do anything you wish,

and I will do it great... ish.

For you see, I'm not just a clumsy clown,

while you are wise with your crown.

I am your shield in your time of fear,

so no enemies will ever come near.

I am the sword in your hand,

when no one else has courage to stand.

I am the lullaby that's sung,

when the moon is hung.

I am the one you can cling to,

when thing's are darker than they used to.

I am the one who will save you,

when no one will come through.

I am and always will be these things,

when you are failed by other human beings.

But, I won't be here forever.

For no two things infinitely stay together.

I shall still be your Pierrot,

but I cannot live forever though.

So don't cry when I'm long gone.

For this kingdom needs you to be strong.

You must be the shield in their time of fear,

so no enemies will ever come near.

You must be the sword in their hand,

when no one else has courage to stand.

You must be the lullaby that's sung,

when the moon is hung.

You must be the one they can cling to,

when thing's are darker than they used to.

You must be the one that will save them,

even though they themselves have darkness in them.

You must and always be these things,

when they are failed by other human beings.

I wish I could be these things for you,

but you know what I said at the start wasn't true.

I am so sorry my dear.

In this kingdom, there are things to fear.

This kingdom is actually very known,

though you still do take the throne.

There is too much sadness in this kingdom

where there is little comfort and freedom.

But you still are the ruler of this kingdom that will grow,

and I was, am, and always will be your friend, the friendly Pierrot.
