Darkness

Darkness has made a place in you.

But of course, that doesn't make it bad.

It's scary at times, but it can be quite beautiful too.

Conjuring stories and rhymes of the strange and sad.

When your pen meets the paper, a world is revealed.

Don't act like it's a lie, the others know this too,

Your ability to break free the strange things concealed.

Though modest, that is far better than what others can do.

Edgar Allen Poe had quite the role to play,

With the gore and sorrow in his poems and stories.

I hope your imagination is here to stay,

For who knows who you will inspire in your imagination sprees.

Please, don't stop writing and drawing.

For you're one of the people who have inspired me to write at all.
