today was the day. yoongi and jimin were finally meeting up. they were both so nervous that they could piss themselves just thinking about it. a million different things were running through both of their minds.

what if he still thinks i'm a boy? what if he doesn't like me? will he even show up?

will she accept my apology? will she look even cuter in person? what if she doesn't like me?

jimin was trembling with anxiety and fear. she couldn't help but worry that he wouldn't even show up, or that he would but he still thought she was a boy, or oh god what if he thought she was ugly or something? with too many doubts in her mind, she decided to text him just to make sure.

jimin: we're still meeting up right?

jimin: 5:00, the coffee shop with cat decorations?

yoongi: yep!

yoongi: i'm on my way there now

jimin: ah i was just making sure

jimin: i'm on my way too

yoongi: see you soon, jimin~

jimin: see ya!

both of them were instantly relieved at the small conversation they had shared, but there was still a bit of nervousness they had yet to shake off.

jimin saw the small shop come into view and her anxiety skyrocketed. she would be there in just a few minutes and she wouldn't be able to back out of it. even if she arrived before yoongi, she wouldn't have the heart to just leave him hanging like that.

but to her – slight – relief, yoongi was standing outside the coffee shop with his arms behind his back. he shuffled his feet around, his gaze glued to the sidewalk.

"h-hi yoongi," she greeted, mentally cursing at herself for stuttering already.

the blonde looked up from his shoes, his eyes soon meeting jimin's. "hey jimin." his voice slightly wavered and he must've noticed it, as a crooked smile appeared on his lips.

jimin put her arms behind her back, clasping her fingers together, unsure what to really do with them at the moment. "it's really nice to finally meet you." she glanced around a bit, finding their direct eye contact to be a bit too intimidating at the moment.

"it's nice to finally meet you too," he began before taking a deep breath. "um, jimin.. before we go inside, there are a few things i need to say to you."

swallowing hard, she nodded. "okay.. go on ahead, i suppose."

yoongi brought his arms to the front of him, a bouquet of flowers in his hands, and held them out to jimin. she accepted the flowers with a small 'thank you' and a slight blush.

"before i say anything else, i want to apologize.  i'm sorry that i've been such an idiot. i most definitely know that you are a female – an absolutely beautiful one if i may add – and i am so sorry for not putting all of the pieces together sooner. now, i'm not the best at wording things, especially when i'm expressing how i feel, but i'm going to try my best..
jimin, i like you. quite a lot, actually. even when i didn't realize you were a girl, i knew that i was becoming attracted to you and becoming fond of your company. you're such a kind girl and you're so caring. you're so funny and you roast me all the time.. and honestly, it's great. i always have a nice time when i'm talking to you. i really have come to adore you and this friendship that we've built together.
now, i'm not going to force you to do anything. it's completely up to you...
jimin, won't you take my hand and enter this shop with me for our first date?"

jimin stood there speechless while her heart raced in her chest. tears had welled up in her eyes and she was trying her best to not let them escape. unable to find her voice at the moment, she just smiled and placed her small hand into yoongi's, entering the coffee shop.
