From what I've seen, this ship isn't that popular. But honestly, I think it's pretty cute. I read a few Silvamy stories when I first joined Wattpad and actually really enjoyed them. I think their personalities work pretty good together. I very much ship Amy with Sonic but her and Silver are pretty cute.
(I gotta make an oc for ma bro. He's all lonely in my universe. ;) )
