They really thought they could get away with this. I couldn't believe they were my best friends, but it's ok. I will make them pay even if it's the last thing I do.
I've been stalking the three of them for the past 3 years; I've been hiding in plain sight the whole time. I've seen all the disgusting things they've kept: secrets the devil would have been proud of. I'm surprised they haven't seen me. I was always there - and I will always be there. At least, until I destroy their lives. Because I am their shadow.
Now, you must all be thinking that I'm crazy. Well I'm not. IM DEAD! At least, that's what everyone thinks. Not only am I dead, I was murdered by my 3 BFF's. I thought they were my friends but when someone try's to kill you, you don't know what to believe.
This all took place in our little town Applebury. Ariana, Kenzie, Haley and I were at the lake, near the forest. It was a cold, winter evenings at 7 pm. We had a bonfire set up, we were soaking in the warmth as we drank our hot chocolates topped with whipped cream. We were all really young - only in year 9 at school. There was no one nearby which was just perfect, or so we thought. Being only 14 we decided to play truth or dare - I know right, how much more basic could we get (honestly, you'd be surprised)
I - being the fearless leader of the group- went first; I always went first. After, a couple rounds, It was Ariana's turn and being the sweet, innocent, little girl she was, she chose truth, again!
I could barely hide my disdain as I sighed.
"What?!?!" She replied in her sweet voice.
"You're being boring," I sighed
"No I'm not, "she frowned
"Well, Elsie is not lying, this is the fourth time you picked truth." Kenzie shrugged
"Can you blame m..." Ari (that's what we called her) said before she was cut off
"Nope, no excuses, Ari," Haley said as she cut her off
Ari looked unsure as she twirled her brown curls.
"You, know what, if you do this dare then we will pay for your Starbucks, the next time we go," I replied
"Ok, it depends on the dare," Ari finally replied
"Ok, Ari. It's my time to pick your dare," Kenzie smiled smugly "so what should I pick,"
Ariana, at that moment knew she picked the wrong decision.
