Slenderman carried Jeff to a treehouse; the one where Slenderman used to live since he was a cute and friendly kid. Jeff felt kind of stupid, being piggybacked by an adult. But he couldn't move his leg for some reason. Maybe because of that mysterious thing, that attacked him a short while ago. It was too dark to see who or what attacked Jeff so sudden but he was glad that Slender appeared. That "Thing" ran away when it saw Slenderman dashing towards it. The boy was so thankfull.
"You know, I want to give you something in return!"
"In return?" Slenderman turned his head to look at Jeff, using a confused voice when talking.
"Yes, for saving me... I want to thank you in a proper way!" Jeff said while smiling.
Slender just kept on walking, shaking his head slowly.
"I don't need anything. I'm glad that you are okay."
Jeffs smile disappeared. It's the first time that he wanted to give a good thing to someone (at least something else than a knife through the head) and that person refuses.
"Here we are..."
Slenderman climbed up the ladder without warning Jeff to grab on him tightly. The boy felt a little knot inside his belly when the wood cracked under Slendermans feet. But the treehouse itself was beautiful. There was a bed, a couch and even a little TV!
"You know, I can't watch TV and thought about throwing it away, but now that you're here..." Slender pointed to the little black appliance.
"Huh, why can't you watch TV? 'Cause you have no eyes?" Jeff asked with a confused face.
"I'll show you." The tall, faceless man turned it on and took a few steps back. The TV programm showed an older man, talking about a crime near a supermarket. Jeff was glad that he didn't do it. Slenderman walked back to the appliance and suddenly, the screen turned into a fight of black and white dots.
"Aw, I know what you mean. Well, this is funny." Jeff smiled again.
"You hate it?"
"No. I just thought that you must be something special. I've never seen a man having so much influence on electronic aplliances."
Slenderman was a tall man without a face, but Jeff could feel that Slender was glad but confused. He never met someone before who didn't run for his life or tried to kill Slender.
"You must be tired. Feel free to use the bed." The tall man said, picking Jeff up and laying him down on the bed.
"Where are you gonna sleep?"
"I still have some things to do. Just sleep, Jeff." Slendermans hand ran through Jeffs hair. The boy was happy when the man said his name for the first time. The place where Slenders hand touched him was burning and his heart was beating like crazy when Jeff finaly fell asleep.
