Complicated None existent love story

Chapter 4

It is after school and I am with my friend William, we are walking to the bus and then he had suddenly stopped walking and looks at me.
"Hey why did you stop walking?" I asked. He looks at me with a serious and asks me a question that I didn't expect."Julia.. do you have a crush on Max?" I instantly felt my face getting hot knowing that I must be blushing so much right now."Noo.." I lied again."Then why are you smiling thinking about him now. And your face is pink."Well... okay let me admit it. I am starting to like Max now. As I got to know him a bit more, he is such a great guy. He cares about me, he gives me good information to focus on school, he gives me happiness. When we text I always smile at the messages. When I am down he always make me smile, and make up my day. Honestly I feel like I have been obvious." William smiles at me. "Then go for him!" I really want to.. "I can't I'm not allowed to date." He gives me a disappointed look. " I don't get you, if you like him win him!" I swear sometimes he is too much but I love William for that.

 Today is Max's birthday. Right before my sister's so I couldn't forget it. It is 7 in the morning,  and I decided to try to be the first person to say happy birthday day.- Text sent to Max-Hey Happy Birthday!!!-new message- "Thank you :)"
It is lunch time and that's when I can see him. Once I saw his face I ran up to him all happy saying happy birthday giving him a big hug. I saw him giving me a big smile as others seemed confused not knowing it is his special day. All his other friends said happy birthday, yet i felt bad since I have nothing to give him. Me and Margret decided to try and plan something for him but it didn't work out. Max and I decided to hangout for the rest of the lunch period together talking, and enjoying one another company. It came to be after school, and i decided to hit Max up trying to see if we can hangout later.

"Hey Max are you free later??"

- Text from Max-

 " Hey, yeah I am free why?"

 -message sent-

 "I was wondering, because I am volunteering at a place today and wanted to know if you want to come." 

-Text from Max-

"Yeah. Sure, anything for you."

-Message sent-

" Really? :D"

-Text from Max-

" Yeah, just let me know the place and time beautiful." 

-Message sent-

"Yay!"

-Text from Max-

"Hey, I am always free for you."

Our conversation went on until I got a text from my mother.

" Hey. Julia the show is cancelled today."

"oh...Ok."

UGHHHHHHHH. WHHYYYY. I was so excited for him to come and spend time with me. Then now this! T_T I feel like a fool now I have to cancel. 

"soo...-deletes-

"Hey, um well...-deletes- 

"I just found out that its canceled." 

-sends-

"Oh. Well its okay."

I was so excited about this now it all just went to drain. Besides that we just texted for hours then Max said he needed to tell me something.

"Hey. Um I have something to tell you."

-Recieved-

"Sure. Whats up?"

-Sends-

"Huge"

"Crush."

"On."

"You."

Once I read that the world froze on me. My heart started beating fast. Lost of words, confused, happy yet nervous to reply. Glad that he is just bi. Yet I reply with the most stupid thing ever of lying to him.

"Oh...I am sorry but I don't like you that way...I need to go bye."

"Oh..okay see you."

End of our conversation. Happy Birthday Max. I thought to myself, I am sorry, I am afraid to show my feelings. The rest of the night until I fell asleep I've been thinking about him. Wondering how it would be like at school tomorrow. Would it be awkward?
