We got in the car. Mother and father would be very disappointed in us right now. They always told us not to talk to strangers, let alone get in their car! What else would we do though. Our mother was just murdered, we jumped out a window, and we were running for 2 hours. That may not sound like a lot , but I have brothers that are only 5 years old!

The car was silent for about 5 minutes until driver spoke. "So what happened?" He said in a demanding yet sympathetic way. I looked at him, although he couldn't look at me because he was driving. I felt some kind of connection at that moment. Like we were the only flowers in the world. I also felt a bubbly feeling in my stomach, maybe because I haven't eaten recently, but I think that was love. I suddenly felt confident and strong. I sat up straight, and braced myself for the long story.
