Samantha's POV.

I kept running, breathing hard as I looked around the forest for Damon, but I couldn't find him.

I wasn't going to look for him anymore, it'd been hours and I was upset when he cheated.

Instead of going home, I made my way to their house. I was closer to the estate.

The door was opened as my mom hugged me. I had to get used to her vampire speed.

"Hey mom." I greeted with a smile.

"I've missed you, sweetie." she said and I let out a laugh.

"You saw me yesterday woman.'' I said, she pulled me inside. The house was loud, as always.

"Hey Sam! How've you been?" Stephen greeted, raising to his feet, we bumped fists.

"I've been good. How about yourself?"I asked, as I sat next to him.

He made a face, a silly face that caused me to chuckle.

"I've been better." he said.

"There you are! I though you were seeking me." Damon's loud voice bellows as he suddenly sat next to me. He ruffles my hair.

I slapped his hand away from my hair.

"You cheated! You used your vampire speed." I argued and he sent me a smirk.

"Stupid Vampires, Ugh! No offense." I laughed when everybody turned to me.

"None taken." they said.

Yeah right.

That was creepy.

"Alright, play a game of chess with me, no vampire tricks this time. I promise." Damon said and I gave him a look.

"You? Making promises?" I didn't believe it.

Damon has the audacity to appear shocked.

"Stephan talked about me, yeah?" He asks, his eyes filled with mischief.

I didn't even have to answer. The two were always bickering.

But it was chess after all.

I'm the boss at this game.

"Game on, then." I said.
