Your birth mother knocks on the door of the Avengers base and leaves you in an old cardboard box with ratty blankets on the doorstep. You look up at her and reach your hands out, "Mommy?" You ask quietly.
She runs with tears in her eyes.
You feel confused. You're only two and you know moms shouldn't leave their babies. The door opens behind you and you turn around.
"Hi." You say simply.
A tall man with neat blond hair looks down at you and out around the yard.
"Hey little buddy. Where's your mommy?" He asks you.
You furrow your brows. "She ran away." You answer.
He picks you up and brings you inside on his hip. You tug at his shirt and look up at him. "I'm hungry."
"Oh. I'm sure we have something. Do you like applesauce?" He asks.
"Yeah." You smile at the guy's kindness.
"What's your name? I'm Steve."
"(Y/n)."
"Well (Y/n), we're going to take good care of you."
A man with a bow and an arrow quiver walks into the kitchen where you and Steve are.
"What's up with the kid?" He asks.
"Clint, this is (Y/n). (Y/n), this is Clint or Hawkeye." Steve tells you both.
"Hawk... Hawkeye... Bird Boy!" You exclaim.
Steve snorts and Clint shrugs.
Steve continues laughing as he gets you a bowl of applesauce.
You eagerly take it and fumble around with the spoon for a while until you get it.
A man in an iron suit flies in as sirens start to blare. You look around at the red flashing lights.
"Code green people! I pissed him off!" He shouts.
Steve and Bird Boi forget about you momentarily as they ready themselves for 'code green'.
Steve gets a shield and Clint readies his arrows.
A huge green thing runs into the room smashing everything in the process. You look up at it while you're about to take a bite of your applesauce.
You glance back at your food and at him a few times. He stares down at you and you hold up the bowl to him. He sits down crosslegged and takes the bowl.
He dips his pinky in the bowl and hands it back to you. You both sit down for a while and eat applesauce in peace. After a while, the green guy shifts into a regular human form.
Steve, Bird Boi, and the man in the metal suit stare at you with their mouths hanging open. You just giggle and continue to eat. Steve scoops you up and away from the formerly huge monster.
"Uhhh... Sorry?" The metal man says to the guy on the floor.
"Tony, shut up and get me some clothes." He says.
Tony nods and remembers to never mess with the guy who has anger issues.
(( Ye. There's another. Also Amber_Clockwork i was just wondering if you have any requests for a future story or something? I could use your name in one if you wanted. Also if this ever gets popular, sHOUT OUT TO AMBER BECAUSE (I'm assuming she) HAS BEEN VOTING ON MY STORIES SINCE THE BEGINNING. Anyway, that's all for now.
