Jane POV

It was the end of the day and we just got everything settled into our new apartment.

I actually thought that since it was only my younger brother, my mom, and me it would be tight, it was actually a pretty nice apartment.

It's a three bedroom and two bathroom apartment and it's very cozy.

I got everything set up in my room and I actually really like it.

It's the complete opposite of me and I need this new style of me, just to get out of that depressive state of mind.

I took a good look around and finally plop on my bed. Soon after two minutes my mom came in, "Jane get up and get dressed we have to go to this dinner."

"Mom what?! I just lay down!"

"End of discussion missy! Get up and get dressed! Make sure it's something nice!" She left the room and sat up and did "The Great Stare" at my wall.

I soon got up and grabbed things I need for my shower like underwear, lotion, and etc.

I got out and put some lotion on and deciding in my head what am I going to wear.

I put on my undergarments and pick out an outfit that I thought would be appropriate for tonight.

I had an oversized jean jacket on and I had rolled up the sleeves.

With my grey shirt and ripped black jeans then I had paired it with my black and white retro 1's.

My hair was curly as usual since I didn't really like my hair in another state.

Anyways, I had came out my room and into the living room waiting on my mom since and my brother was already done and ready to go.

"Okay, I got keys, gum, and the kids. Alright let's go!" She said happily.

We all went to the car, got inside and drove to our destination.

It was actually a really long drive in my case, but I didn't really care.

We pulled up to the house and it was amazingly huge and beautiful.

I don't know who my mom knew, but I was pretty impressed.

My brother and I both unbuckled our seat belts getting ready to leave but our mom pulled us back in.

"Listen, I know you're probably wondering why we're here well. I came here to talk Will Smith about him starring in a movie I want to direct."

I was so shocked that my mom finally got her break!

Back in Ohio, people always used to tell her all these negative things like she was never going no where, why would you even dream that big, you can barely be good at your own life, and all this other nasty things.

I'm so glad that she didn't listen to them and continued to what she wanted because she wouldn't even end up here.

"So please be on your best behavior and don't embarrass me because I've came a long way for us and this maybe it."

"It will be it mom! I just know it will!" I hugged her and we all got out the car and went to the door.

She rung the doorbell and a maid came to open it.

"You must be Miss Janet. You can follow me to Mr Smith and the family." We got to the table and took our seats and then the Smith family came in and took their seats.

"Ahh Miss Janet so glad to see you here! I didn't think you was gonna make it!" said THE Jada Smith.

"Of course I was gonna make it I would miss it for the world!", said my mom.

Willow had came right beside her then sat next to me.

She looked at me up and down then said, "I like your outfit it's very cute. Where do you shop?"

"Well, I shop at Ross and other local stores like that."

"Cool beans. Wanna go thrift shopping with me?"

Well that was quick.

"Uh. Yeah, sure! I would love to go."

"Perfect we can go after we get you registered for my school." I looked at her then at my mom and she just gave me a smile.

Okay mom, two can play that game.

Then Willow turned to talk to my brother about some stuff their age would talk about. (Willow is 14 and so is Jane's brother)

"Looks like Jaden going to be late so let's start eating."

Jaden POV

Teo dropped me off back home and I can already feel my damn dad yelling at me.

I entered the passcode for the back door and came in then went my way to the kitchen to drop off my food in the refrigerator.

"Ah there you go Jaden! We was waiting on you!" My dad had said to me.

I turn around to see my family having dinner with some other family.

"Why don't you come join us?" I looked at him and he had this look that said 'if you don't come then you'll be in even more trouble later' look. So I went and joined them.

The only chair that was open was by this girl and she wasn't bad looking either, but I'm really not into dating so I'll leave her alone.

"Everyone knows my son Jaden." I waved at the new faces and began eating.

Don't judge me I'm a growing boy.

"Now that everyone is here, I want to take you up on that offer Miss Janet. We can work out the plans and stuff tomorrow morning when we send the kids off to school." My dad said.

"That sounds amazing! I can't wait!" The lady had said.

"Jaden get used to the Kiama kids because you're gonna be with them for a while."

Great.
