"Draco!" Elizabeth walked over and gave him a hug. He picked her off the ground a bit and hugged her back. "I thought you weren't going to come. You took forever." Elizabeth adjusted her Givenchy purse and wrapped her hand around his bicep.
Draco chuckled, "I was a few minutes late." He loved when she put her hand around his arm. He felt like he was on cloud nine when she held on to him. Also other guys wouldn't blatantly stare at her or approach her when she held on to him.
Walking down to the food court Elizabeth and Draco looked like a power couple. Their clothing was expensive, her purses were named brand only, his watches were custom made, they just fit together. Everyone would sneak glances at them, even the other richer couples. All the girls wish they looked like the golden haired woman walking next to the handsome dark haired man. Elizabeth was always embarrassed when people would stare at them so she she either kept her gaze on the ground or talked to Draco the whole time.
"I wish people wouldn't stare," Elizabeth said out loud.
"They only stare because you are the most gorgeous woman they have ever laid eyes on." Draco said into Elizabeth's ear which made her giggle.
"Oh whatever Draco!" Elizabeth playfully slapped his arm. "They all look at you. You were the most popular boy in school after all. I only had Song and people only talked to me because of you." Elizabeth said and Draco could hear the sadness in it.
Throughout Elizabeth's school years she was picked on and only had one friend, Song. Mae and her friends would always pick on her and talk about her. During Elizabeth's senior year Mae was civilized only in front of other people, alone she would sneer at her or not speak to her. Speaking of the devil...
Mae and her two clones walked up to Draco and Elizabeth. Mae was gorgeous and that made Elizabeth self conscience. Her friends were equally as gorgeous. Automatically Elizabeth dropped her hand from Draco and stood a little taller and held her chin high.
"Draco!" Mae said brightly and smiled to him. "Elizabeth." She turned to Elizabeth and gave her a dull and bored look. Turning back to Draco she started talking about a party that she was having this weekend and she wanted him to come as well as Jong and Kai.
Hello? What about me? Elizabeth thought to herself. We are suppose to be getting something to eat and then going shopping not talking to Mae. Elizabeth was getting tired of Mae talking to Draco. Elizabeth knew that Mae liked Draco for sometime now but he would never go out with her. Or at least she hoped he wouldn't. If Mae and Draco ever went out Elizabeth would be heart broken. Elizabeth's feelings had grown for Draco over the past few years but she knew that Draco would never think of her that way. They were best friends and they would stay best friends.
Mae put her hand on Draco's right arm and smiled at him still trying to convince him to come to the party that weekend.
She just didn't do that, Elizabeth thought bitterly. Without second guessing her actions Elizabeth slipped her hand into Draco's and intertwined their fingers.
"We've got to get going now. We have some errands to get done." Elizabeth interrupted Mae and slightly pulled Draco away. Draco happily obliged and walked away with Elizabeth.
She can't just touch Draco like that. Doesn't she know that Draco very much dislikes her. Oh wait, that's right. She can't get it through her thick skull that there are people out there who do not like her. Why did Draco let-
"Elizabeth." Draco was trying to get her attention but she was lost in her thoughts. Sighing Draco pulled her into one of the mall hallways and pushed her gently up against a wall. "Rose, look at me."
Looking up at him she saw his intense gaze. She shifted so she was staring right at him. Those brown eyes that she loved looked right back at her and she blushed.
"I'm sorry Draco. Mae just really bothers me and when she touched you I-I didn't want you to get sick."Elizabeth lied horribly to him and he knew.
Chuckling Draco caressed her cheek down to her jawline. "I'm glad you pulled us away. I didn't really know what to do or say back there."
Elizabeth had barely focused on his words since she was staring at his lips. When he touched her cheek it made her feel dizzy. As Draco got older he started to touch her cheek or her hand or play with her hair. She never objected it so he had continued to do it. Very rarely he would give her a small kiss on her cheek, her hand, or forehead. Secretly it drove both of them crazy but neither would voice it to one another.
"And I still don't like her so you don't have to worry." Draco teased her and bent down to give her a kiss on the cheek.
Elizabeth, not paying attention, turned to say something smart but instead her lips met his. It was only a brief touch of the lips but both of them pulled away so fast that Elizabeth ended up hitting her head on the wall behind her.
"I'm sorry," Draco said rather fast and looked away in fear that Elizabeth would see his face start to blush.
"Ouch." Elizabeth chuckled and rubbed her head. She had to play it off or otherwise it would be awkward. "It's fine, Draco. Lets just go get some food and this dress." Elizabeth said and started to walk to the food court. The entire trip all she could think about was the feeling she felt when Draco's lips had touched hers and how she wished she could feel them again.
