I don’t know how long I’ve been reading when I hear trailers start to pull in. I make my way back to the barn as everyone pulls in. We open up the trailers and take the horses back to their stalls. I grab Kisses and Snuggles then lean them back. We all gather in the tack room and everyone puts their tack back.
Me: So how did it go guys?
Jordan: Well I won a class and got second in the other.
Paige: Same here.
Me: That’s great guys. What about the rest of you.
More people respond, everyone places well and Kelly even won a class.
Me: That’s great Kelly!
Kelly: Thanks I didn’t think that I would win.
Me: I had high hopes. So Dylan how did you do?
Dylan: I did pretty good, I won all of my classes but one.
Me: Good job.
Dylan: Thanks.
Me: Which class did you not win?
Dylan: The bare back class I got second.
Me: I didn’t know you rode bare back.
Dylan: Yeah ever since the day I saw that girl I have been giving it a try and guess what.
Me: What?
Dylan: That girl was the girl that beat me.
Me: Really do you know who she is?
Dylan: No I didn’t get a chance to meet her.
Me: To bad.
Dylan: Yeah I really wanted to meet her and tell her great job.
Me: Maybe she is at school, you could look for her there.
Dylan: I guess.
Olivia: So how are things here?
Me: Good everyone has been cleaned and given lunch.
Olivia: Good why don’t you let the horses that showed outside?
Me: Okay, I was wondering if I could spend the day with Scott and Sam tomorrow.
Olivia: What about your chores?
Me: I’ll do them don’t worry.
Olivia: Okay I guess you can go.
Me: Thanks Olivia.
Olivia: Don’t make me regret it. Let’s go girls I am going to take you out to dinner to celebrate.
Jordan: Sweet, Dylan would you like to join us?
Dylan: Sure thanks.
Everyone beings to shuffle out and leaves, I bring the horses in and let the ones that were shown out. I put Magic out with Lilly and join them with my book once more. Lilly stays by me but Magic wants her to play. I shoo them off and continue reading. They get done playing and Lilly brings Magic back over to me. They start grazing and I read until it gets dark. I bring everyone in and feed dinner. There is nothing left to do so I head back up to the house. Olivia’s car is missing so I guess they are still out. I make a sandwich and head to my room. I open my text books and start working on homework I might as well get it done now. I am just about finished when I hear them come home. I check the time and see that it is really late. They must have done a lot of talking. Poor Dylan you should have said no. I change into pj’s and climb into bed I text Sam letting him know that I can go tomorrow. My eyes close shut on me and I fall into a deep sleep.
