Elena.
I wake up in my home, I hear noises of people talking outside my room. It sound like my mother, and Kent. I get up of my bed, attracted by curiosity. I paste my ear to the door and hear clearly.
"Was she drunk?" Asks my mother.
"No, she was looking for her friends, then everything happened and I found her at a side of the house, with a non color-eyed person trying to kill her." He says.
"And Kent, congratulations, about your eyes".
I open the door and watch as my mom and Kent freeze. I look straight to Kent, he has the same color in both of his eyes.
"Kent, your eyes..." I say to him.
"Yeah... we'll talk about it later. How are you?" He asks.
"I'm ok. My head hurts a little bit, but it's fine." I say.
"You scared us, Lena" says my mother.
"I know, I'm sorry. I tried to escape, but I just couldn't. I was looking for..." I was looking for the girl Kent saw.. "I was looking for Kent".
"It's ok honey. Later we'll go to your aunt's house." She's talking about my aunt Melinda, the doctor, of course. "Now, go to bed and try to rest." She says, and leaves us alone. I go to my bed and make room for Kent.
"Will it be the end for us?" I ask him. He knows what I mean.
"I don't know, we can be friends" He answers. And it hurts, a little bit, because he saved me so much times. He was there when I needed him, and he saved me from that asshole. But it's also something good, he found his other half, maybe I can find mine now.
"Yeah, of course. It was matter of time, we both knew what we were doing so..." I say, trying to sound happy. "How was it? And who?" I ask him.
"I was with the boys, they were all drunk, and so was I. We were having fun, saying stupid things, but I needed another beer so I went to the kitchen. There was this guy at the refrigerator, looking for a beer, when he found one, he realized I was waiting for the exact same thing, so he took two bottles and gave one to me. Then we looked into our eyes and you know how that goes." He says.
"A guy? Kent Leener with a guy?" I start laughing, and he blushes. "Dude I'm kidding. I found two girls making out at Melissa's party, I thought it was hot." I say, not lying. He laughs, and I feel better.
Then I realize that it's better like this. Just friends.
My mother asks me to hurry, so I grab any clothes that I have and put it on. I look hot, as always, so I smile to myself in the mirror and look at my eyes. One yellow, and one of three colors.
I get out of my room and look for my mom, now she's walking down the street, I close the door and rush to catch up with her. We get to the train station, kind of late. We are waiting for the train when I feel someone staring at me. The I look up and there's a guy.
Something strange happens inside of me. I feel warm suddenly, I feel how something growing from my heart to every part of my body.
"He's the one." My mother grabs me by my arm and pulls me to a train. I try to stop her, but when I realize, The boy's gone.
