Elena.
"My mother says she found a boy and she has a good feeling with him." Mia says putting down the phone.
"Where? How is he?" I ask her, feeling hope.
"At a meeting we both were. I was feeling somewhere there, like if someone I needed was there. But I'm not sure, my mother could be wrong." She says.
"You have to try, he's your only hope." Says Kent.
"Yeah, that's true." Says Mia, and then picks up the phone as her screen shows a call from her mother. She speaks for a while and then hangs up.
"He wants us to meet, tomorrow at 4 pm, says my mother. She'll be taking me. You can text me where you are and I could give you a ride. And she also says he's not that tall, dark hair, and he only has light blue and black eyes, but he had yellow some days ago. He's our dude, isn't he?" Says Mia.
"Yeah... I think he is." I say.
"We should get going, and leave you two alone, seems like you have a lot to talk about." Says Kent. I nod, and say a goodbye, so does Mia. Kent grabs Julian hand as he blushes, and then they leave.
Mia and I walk towards a bench and sit down, it's painfully awkward.
"So... tell me something about yourself." I say.
"I like reading, a lot." She says. "Or doing research, I always need to keep my mind full or I will start thinking of things I mostly don't like to think about." She says.
"Sometimes I do that. When I start thinking about love or death." I say. She smiles.
"Exactly." She says.
"And... what are your thoughts about this world? Full of eyes that tell how to love." I ask her, 'cause it's one of my biggest thoughts.
"I think sometimes is tiring. Always living expecting for love. And what if you don't want it? What do you do or how do you act?" She says. "I mean, I know people that doesn't focus on finding love, but... how do they handle this world then? I decided to be as everybody else and look for... well, look for you." She says.
"I know, I also joined the looking for you party." I say, smiling softly. She smiles back.
"Is this awkward?" She asks.
"A little bit." I say, laughing about our ridiculousness.
"So what do we do about it?" She says laughing.
"Maybe we should kiss to break the tension." I say, joking. She blushes. "I'm only joking... kind of." I wink her an eye.
She gives me her cellphone number and I give her mine. So I say goodbye to her, and we kiss one last time. Making me smile halfway through the kiss. I walk away, happy as hell.
I finally arrive home and call for my mom. She reacts adorably to my full yellow eyes. She starts screaming to my father, who also reacts great to the news and then they start making me a lot of questions. And I try to explain what happened. And how does my eyes work.
They both looked confused, just as I'm feeling, but they both support me. They know I'm not making the choice of loving two people.
So when they ask:
"And how are them?"
I answer:
"I'm gonna find out".
