Mirrors
"Look! The fun fair's here!" Jon exclaimed, pointing to the colorful displays nearby.
Dennis shrugged. "What's so special about that? It's just a bunch of clowns, right?".
Jon stopped and stared at his best friend. "You've never heard of the Mortis Funfair, have you?".
Dennis shook his head. He wasn't a big fan of funfairs. All they had were cheesy tricks and tacky decor.
"The Mortis Funfair is amazing from what I heard." Jon said, "You know my sister, Melissa? The one abroad? Well, they visited the city she was in and it's really awesome. There are these freak shows and illusion thingies that look so real! You could be in a broom closet for all you care for and it could look like you're standing in the middle of a forest!".
Dennis started to understand what Jon was so excited about. That kind of funfair would be pretty cool.
"But there's still the mirrors." Jon continued.
"Mirrors?" Dennis asked, "What mirrors?".
"From what Melissa told me, there's these mirrors that show you your relative or your loved one, no matter who you are. It's real and all. No holograms." Jon said.
Dennis stared curiously at Jon and asked, "How do you know it's not some kind of prank?".
Jon shook his head. "It's not. See, all they people the mirrors show you are dead.".
"You're joking, right?" Dennis asked.
"No."
"No way!"
"Yeah, it's true. Touch the mirrors. You'll tell it's true."
"Aw, man! I can't go today!"
"Come with me this tomorrow then. At 2:00 pm. Meet you at the mirror room."
"OK since today is Friday, I could go with you."
"OK!"

Jon arrived fifteen minutes past two. He hurried to the Mirror Room, for he knew how much Dennis hated late comers. When he arrived though, the room was empty. Jon shrugged it off. Dennis was probably using the bathroom.
He spied the mirror and smiled. He would love to see if Melissa was actually telling the truth or just lying to him.
He peered in and screamed. There, staring back at him, was the reflection of Dennis.

Police surrounded the house of Dennis the next day.
"What happened in there?" the policewoman asked.
"It seems like a murderer killed Dennis and his family." the policeman said, "It also seems like they were killed last Thursday."
