"Cait, are you coming to Joe's party?" I asked as I put on a bow tie.
"Of course!" Caitlin nodded as she walked out of her walk in closet. She looks gorgeous even when she's only wearing a simple red dress.
"Wow." I almost dropped my coffee.
"What? " Caitlin shot me a you are weird look.
"You look amazing." I grabbed her into a tight hug.
"You do too, my little scarlet speedster." Caitlin smiled as she planted a kiss on my cheek.
At Joe's, everyone was talking and laughing. It reminded me of my dad's death last year and that made me want to cry. "Barr, are you okay?" Joe must noticed. "Yeah. I just need some air." I sighed deeply as I walked out of the room. "Barry." Caitlin. "I know why you are upset. I'm always upset when it's Christmas too." Caitlin nodded as she sat down besides me on the damp steps. "Why?" I looked into her beautiful eyes. "Because Christmas reminds me of how much I've lost. Ronnie. My dream of becoming a famous scientist. And all those other things like how my mom never gave me any presents." Caitlin said, a tear rolled down her cheek. "Shh. You will never lose me." I hugged her again. "I don't know, Barry. Everyone you go out there, I'm always so afraid that those metas would hurt you." She sobbed on my shoulder. "I love you, Caitlin. So much that I would sacrifice the whole city for you." I smiled through the pain as I confronted. "I love you too." She nodded.
