What I got as not what I was expecting but then again you may ask the question "Well what were you expecting?" and therein lies the problem.

Review

Maybe I was expecting a tale called Morning Coffee but I was left dry without tonic. Maybe I'd hoped for half a dozen short stories. I got three. In total:

Cold Cabin gives us dubious horror, an old mom-and-dad coffee shoppe, and lights from a haunted house. All from a cabin in the woods where people are found with their eyes gouged out. For me it was all over before I got to know the characters.

In His Scope: An Afghanistan veteran returns with the baggage of war on his back and in his heart. He finds company with a black German Shepherd dog.

Valeray: A futuristic tale of two boys in a world where kids over sixteen are sent to other planets to help their population and thus reduce over population of te Earth.

All three stories re too short for me. really short. They have a beginning a middle but lack an end. They are great prompts and I really hope the author Shayne Roberts has taken them forward. There could be some good stuff here.
