✨Itona x Depressed! Reader✨

You and Itona have been friends ever since he switched to the "good side". At first you were slightly afraid of him and the power his tentacles but then after you began to get used to him, the two of you became friends. You've known each other for a while now and have grown pretty close as friends. However. . . One day your parents had had enough of you and tried to murder you. They seemed to have been tired of "wasting" their money on something like you.

Once the police had come to your house after you called 911, something deep inside of you snapped. . You now saw life as it really was . . . You simply just live and breathe to die or be killed eventually. . .

*time skip to a few days of depression*
You were walking to school with your book bag lightly patting your side at each step you took. You haven't smiled for at least five weeks and haven't talked to anyone, well, haven't had any long conversations that is. . . And if you ever did talk to someone, ACTUALLY speaked to someone than that would've been Itona.

You continued to walk along the sidewalk with your head bowed down slightly when suddenly you hear your name being called by a familiar voice. You look around for the person calling your name only to turn and spot Itona racing towards you with a half eaten candy bar in his right hand.

Your eyes followed him as he grew closer to you. Once he stopped at your side you tried your best to smile at him, but only managed to pull a fake one. "Ohayou Itona."

"Ohayou (y/n)," he said with a small wave before taking another bite of his candy bar. He glanced at you as you switched your gaze back to the ground, a sad and depressed face spread across your face. . .as usual. .

Itona frowned and made a small sigh as he walked alongside you, he honestly missed the way you used to get over excited about him walking to you and having a conversation with, and how you would always smile with ease and true happiness. .  But now that those things are all gone it doesn't feel right anymore.

"So how have you been lately?" Itona asked as he turned to you as you walked.

You simply shrugged your shoulders as an answer and continued to walk quietly.

Itona pressed his lips together tightly as he tried his best to think of what else to ask. An idea then popped into his head and he spoke without thinking. "Later do you want to hang out and look at my magazines with me?"

You blinked a few times and made a small expression of disgust, "You mean those magazines of women with big. . . Boobs?"

Itona sighed and nodded his head slowly as his eyes continued to watch you.

You quickly shook your head and turned your head to glare at him. "Itona, I've had enough of your perverted mind. . . I've gone through some tragic things and this is what you ask me?!"

Itona flinched slightly at your sudden outburst. "I'm sorry . . "

You sighed and rolled your eyes as you walked ahead of him.

Itona's eyes followed you ask you walked faster towards the school gates.

"I need to comfort her. . ." Itona mumbled under his breath before sighing and stepping through the school gates.

~~time skip~~

It's now lunch time and your sitting outside with your back leaned against a tree. You slipped a sandwich out from your lunch box and took a bite of it. Footsteps were heard against the grass as someone approached you.

You glanced up at the person to see Okuda. You didn't really expect to see her and was hoping to see Itona. .

"Hey (y/n), you okay?" She asked as she took a seat down next to you and adjusted her glasses.

You looked to her and nodded your head. "Yeah I'm fine. . Just still thinking about life and junk like that."

Okuda nodded her head and gave you a closed eye smile. "Cheer up, I'm sure you'll get over it eventually." She patted your shoulder and looked at you.

"If you say so," you said as you took another bite of your sandwich.

"(y/n)-chan!~"

You turned to see Karma approaching you. You sweatdropped and continued to munch on your sandwich.

"Karma not now," Okuda quickly said for you.

Karma walked up to the two of you and stopped. "But I wanna try and help cheer up (y/n) too! I'm sure pranking the octopus will do the trick!"

You shook your head and slouched against the tree.

Okuda sighed and looked at Karma as she stood up. "C'mon Karma let's j-just give her time alone for a while."

Karma huffed and crossed his arms. "I have been giving her time alone!"

Okuda sighed and pulled Karma away.

You sighed and smiled lightly to yourself at the silence, closing your eyes.

"(Y/n). . "

' what now?' You thought as you snapped your eyes open and glared at the person who disturbed your peace and quiet. You quickly stopped glaring when you saw that it was Itona.

"What?" You asked as you looked at him blankly.

He took a seat down next to you and sighed. "I wanna help you. . Really. . ."

You rolled your eyes and placed your sandwich down into your lunch box before moving your lunch box onto the grass. You then remembered what happened this morning when he asked if you wanted to look at his perverted magazines with him.

You crossed your arms. "How? You going to show me more 18+ magazines?"

Itona shook his head and kept his usual blank expression on his face. "I don't know if this'll work . . But to snap you out of depression I want to tell you something. . ."

You made a bored expression and slightly glared at him. "What?" You asked in a slightly mean and harsh way.

"I . . . Love you," he said, almost inaudible to you.

You widened your eyes slightly before rolling them. "As if."

Itona sighed and tried to think of a way to prove it to you. He then smiled to himself lightly and pressed his lips to your cheek.

Heat lightly rose to your cheeks and weight was lifted off of your shoulders.

"W-wait. . . You really were serious?" You questioned as you blushed a bit darker once he moved away.

Itona nodded his head and looked at you silently.

"Y'know what. . . I think I love you too . . . And because of you I think I'm not depressed anymore," you said with a smile as you wrapped your arms around him in a hug.

Itona blushed lightly and smiled as he hugged back. "I'm glad."
