Ava's POV

I walk into my new school...am I supposed to be excited? Because I'm not.

Time to find the Guidance Office.

It's been 20 minutes! How big is this freaking school!! I walk over to a group of guys that seem to be nice I guess.

"Hey could one of yo-..." I paused when I seen him. Oh god not him. Dylan. How did he get here before me? And why the freak did he even go here!? I was trying to avoid him even this morning, To stop myself from embarrassing myself.

"Hey guys, don't mind her. She's just lost and confused. Let me handle this." He says reassuring his friends.

"Ava!? You go here!?? Why didn't you tel-" He pressures me but I cut him off.

"Dylan! Calm down." I say

"Okay. One, Yes I go here. Which is kind of unfortunate because I was trying avoid you. And Two, I wasn't sure you needed to know, last I checked you're not my dad." I reply ever so sly.

"Alright I'm sorry. But, why were you trying to avoid me?" He asks.

"I--uh.. made myself a promise this morning. That I wouldn't embarrass myself in front of any cute guy I saw..and then you showed up!! Which is why I was kinda blowing you off this morning. But now that we go to the same school, there's no getting away from you.." woah Ava, don't vent all the way. I tell myself.

"Wait you think I'm cute?" He asks.

"I know it's dumb. I'm like a little girl. Calling a guy cute? What was I thinking? Ugh I'm sorry I'm talking out of my ass." I say.

"Av-.."

"Look I really don't wanna talk anymore, can you just show me to the Guidance Office?" I ask.

"Uh..yeah sure." He says.

"Thanks." I reply.

We arrive at the guidance office.

"Thanks, again." I say.

"No problem. If you need anything else you know where to find me." He says.

"Yep." I say and walk in.

"Ava Rose?" I hear. Soft but Firm.

"Yes? That's me." I say softly.

"Ah, I was wondering if you'd ever show today." She says.

"Yeah I had a few mishaps on the way. It won't happen again I promise." I say.

"I sure hope not. Here's You locker number and schedule, I trust you've already met someone to show you around?" She asks.

"Uh yeah. Dylan?"

"Ah yes, Mr. Reed. Good choice. He's pretty School absorbed." She smiles.

"Thanks." I get up and set out to find my locker.

"167...189...190...201." I open it to find a Rose and a note.

I smile and stuff the note in my backpack and hurry to my first class.
