Chapter 9

A door creaked as Grumpy walked through with a lantern, lighting their way through the dark room, Ella and Thomas were with them, as well and Charming, Adriana and Nic

"Why are we down here?" Ella asked, rubbing her bump of a stomach

"We need a place to keep him" Thomas stated as they walked through the dark room

"Rumplestiltskin is the most dangerous man in all the realms. He need his own special prison, so we converted the mines to hold him" Charming explained

"But how will we get him here? He's eluded all forever" Ella stated

"His strength is also his weakness--his deals. He can't resist making them, and we already know who he wants to deal with next--you" Grumpy explained

"We've sent word with one of Snow's bluebirds. He's accepted a meeting with you. You're going to tell him that Doc heard something with his stethoscope--two heartbeats" Charming explained

"Then that's where I come in, with my magic I can make it seem as if you have two babies growing inside of you. He'll never notice, and it will be more convincing if he can sense them" Adriana explained, smiling towards Ella, Ella returned it

"You're going to tell him it's twins" Thomas told her

"And if he wants both, which he will, you propose a new deal" Charming said "Grumpy" he nodded his way as Grumpy opened a box he was holding, it revealed a quill

"A quill? I-I don't understand" Ella said, Adriana then walked up and waved her hand over the wand, making it glow white as she did, once she was finished she stepped back

"Addy and the Blue fairy cast a spell on it" Grumpy said

"Whoever signs with this will be frozen, our magic made it impotent" Adriana explained

"All you must do is get him to sign the contract. Ella, this man is a scourge. You'll be doing the entire land a service" Charming said

"Should we even use magic? Isn't that what's causing these problems to begin with? What if this magic also has a price?" Ella questioned

"Then I will pay it" Thomas said "I will do whatever is needed to save you and our child"

"Let's go" Charming said, to show them where they intended to keep Rumplestiltskin

They walked through another door and it revealed a large cage

"I hope you like it. A lot of dwarf blood went into it" Grumpy said as Ella gazed at it

"Excellent work as always Grumpy. This is perfect" Adriana smiled towards Grumpy, and he did as well

"You sure this will work?" Ella asked

"Once he's in there, he'll never get out" Charming reassured he, he nodded towards his daughter and she nodded back, stepping up towards the cage

"Stand back" Adriana warned, Thomas stood in front of Ella gently moving her back

Addy held her hands out in front of her as a great white light came from her palms, she closed her eyes, allowing the magic to flow through her veins as the light went all around the cage, making it glow with power

She started to feel lightheaded, Nic noticed and set down his torch, as she finished she toppled backwards, but Nic caught her just in time, she was still getting use to her magic and it drained a lot of energy from her body when she used it
