Rookie Hero Part 2

"Help! Help!" I screamed as I ran through the woods.  No one answered.  I kept running.  I was running from my worst fear.  I fell off a cliff.

I woke up with a start.  It was Tuesday the 28 of January 2017.  It was five a.m. and I was awake.  "Niki are you here?" I whispered to the darkness.  There was movement in my room.  "I am here."said the voice of a nineteen year old boy.  "Lucas how did you get in my room?" I asked hiding my left hand under the covers.  "Easy Tony let me in the building and your parents are gone." He said.  I pushed the button to signal Plaid.  He was a meraculose that had a crush on me.  Lucas was a dangerous person.  He gets his way no matter what the cost.  I held the gun under my pillow tight.

"Adrien! Adrien! Wake up you ...sleeping...zombi!  Genevieve is in trouble! So move!" Plaid shouted at me in the middle of the night.  "W-what do you mean?*yawn*" I asked sleepily.  "I mean get your butt out of bed and go to Genevieve 's house because she is in danger!" Plaid repeated trying to pull me out of bed.  "Why didn't you just say so? Plaid claws out!"  I transformed into Cat Noir and jumped out of my window.   I ran along the rooftops to her building.   I saw a guy in her room talking to her.  She looked pretty scared.  I quietly perched myself on the window sill.  "So Genevieve I just came here to talk." The guy said.  "Lucas we all know what your definition of talk is." She said glancing very quickly at me through the window.  Run on three I mouthed to her.  I held up three fingers.  The guy came  nearer to her. Three.  He came closer to her.  Two.  He was right in front of the window. One. I jumped through the window and hit the guy with my stick.  He fell unconciouse on the floor.  I picked him up and threw him off the building. 

Cat  Noir looked at me.  "Are you okay?" He asked softly.  "Yeah thanks." I said exhaling.    "Stay there I want to show you something." I said.  I walked over to my drawer and took out a sleeping Niki.  "This is Niki my qwami." I said  showing him the tiny dragon as big as my thumb.  "Are you Dragonfly?" He asked slightly shocked.  "Yes I am Mr. Adrien Augrest." I said smiling.  He smiled back and looked at the floor.  "For the month you knew I was Cat Noir you only decied to tell me now?" He asked looking slightly hurt.  "I didn't know if I could trust you with all of that so I only told you now." I said walking closer to him and lifting his head with my hand forcing him to look at me.  "I trust you now. Really.  That's why I told you now." I said.  He smiled slightly.  He took my other hand and knotted his fingers through mine. I smiled and blew on his bell.  It made a light jinngling noise and we both laughed.  "I better get going home." He said climbing through the window.  "Bye, see you tomorrow." I said smiling and he jumped over the rooftops. 

The next morning it was a warm Wednessday.  I opened my curtains and opened my windows  wide.   The fresh spring breeze filled the room.  I loosened my hair and put on a white skirt and blue blouse and gladiator sandals.  I ran out the penthouse and all the way to school with Niki still asleep in my pencil case.  At school Adrien waved at me.  We are good friends.  Marrenette keeps giving me love letters to give to the poor guy.  Alya and Marrenette were talking about something or other and I was on my phone texting Alaja.  She was the Iranian foreign exchange student.  Suddenly Alya pushed a paper in my face.  'School talent show' were written in block capitals.  So?" I asked looking up from my conversation.  "You should enter! I've seen you dance!  Adrien to! He'll be totally for it!" Alya said jumping up and down.  "Well she isn't that amazing is she?" Marrenette asked pouting slightly.  "Uh no I am no way that good." I said looking down at my phone.  Alya frowned and took out her phone.  "Hey Nino can you do me a favoure? Can you convince Adrien to convince Genevieve to enter the talent show? I think so.  Yeah I have.  Because you kinda need to ask him to do it. Because he is the first one she goes to for advice.  Because she is amazing and she doesn't think so. Thank you I owe you one. Bye." Alya hung up and said to Marrenette. "Are you jelouse that they are bffs?"  "What no just slightly a little mabey yes totaly." She said burrying her head in her hands.  "Chill out girl its fine.  You like Adrien and she won't cheat you." Alya said firmly.  Nino ran over to me.  "Dude come kwickly I need to show you something." He said pocketing my phone and grabbing my hand and yanking me across the courtyard and into the hall.  Inside the hall Adrien stood next to a radio grinning from ear to ear.  "What is this?" I asked confused.  "This is a way of convincing you to enter the Talent Show." Adrien said walking over to me.  He took my hand and said "Come let's dance and see who is the best." We walked over to the radio and he pushed a button.  Timber started to play.  Adrien started to dance. I laughed and joined in.  I ended of with an f stand and then he changed the music to Up town funk.  I laughed as he danced silly on purpose.  I copied him and we played mirror mirror.  Soon the song ended and he played Let it Go by Demi Lovato.  I did my hightec impossible to copy dance.  At the end we started to dance closer to the center .  At the end I finished with a spin and turned around and Adrien and I stood chest to chest.  Nino was silently  fangirling and making bets with the kids in the crowd.  He smiled down at me.  Our breathing refused to steady.  Our fingers knotted on the other side away from the crowd.  I glanced at the crowd and didn't see Alya and Marrenette.  He lowered his head to my ear.  "What do you think they bet on?" He asked in a whisper.  "That we kiss or something." I said.  "Should we give them what they want?" He whispered.  "That is for you to decide." I said whispering back.  He looked up and then he looked at me.  He leaned in and we kissed. I heard the exchange of money.  We pulled away and the hall erupted with cheer.   Nino came running and parted Adrien on the back.  "Well done dude! I think she is convinced." He whispered.  Adrien kept quite.  Cloe started to cry and the crowd engulfed us.  Nino pulled Adrien out and our hands were still holding and we got pulled to safety.  "So will you enter the talent show?" Nino asked.  "Sure." I said smiling.  Adrien rolled his lips in his mouth and tried to stare at his mouth.  He looked completely confused for a minute.  He squinted for a second and then looked up slightly.  Nino went to tell Alya the news.  "Is everything okay?" I asked Adrien when Nino was out of earshot.  "Did you put on strawberry lipgloss this morning?" He asked facing me.  "Yeah why?" I asked.  "I can taste it." He said smiling. I laughed.  "It was that or cherry." I said smiling.  "Try cherry tomorrow." He said smirking slightly.  "Well I have cherry hear." I said raising an eyebrow at him.  "Well are you gonna put it on?" He asked.  I took it out but didn't put it on.  I put it on my finger and then on Adrien's nose and I said "boop" as I put it on his nose.  We laughed and he whipped it off his nose.  Nino came running around a corner chased by Alya.  "Hey lovebirds can you pucker up and hit it on the lips for a photo on my Ladyblog?"  She asked taking out her phone. "Put on your cherry lipgloss." Adrien said. I put on what was remaining on my finger and kissed Adrien again.  Alya didn't take one photo she took a million.  And a video.  Marrenette is gonna kill me.  If she sees the video Alya took of me and Adrien making out she is gonna freak.  Not in a good way.  I am going to die.  And the most embarrassing part is that three minutes after Alya took the video we realised she was done.  "Hey Alya can I borrow your phone for a second?" She gave me her phone and I changed everything to look like Cat Noir and Dragonfly.  Geniouse.  "Now it is perfect for your Ladyblog." I said handing the phone back to her.  "Thanks it is perfect! And for the record you guys rock those suits." We glanced at each other.
