"We'll... I'm so screwed... If she doesn't like me I'm a dead man.. A very very dead man... I can't believe she did it though! And on her own too! She actually gave it life! On top of that she also connected souls with it. Fascinating! But this is very very bad news for me! Gah! She'll gain control over it and instruct it to kill me now!! No no no that's nonsense! It has to be! she and I will be friends! We will work together to get the other one working! If not I'm dead! So so very dead! Hahaha but If I do get the other working then I shal connect with it and I can put an end to all this once and for all!" I start pacing back and forth still freaking out abit. "Calm down Kyrazu! just wrap up her wounds up and remember to be extra cautious around that dang wolf!" I turn swiftly striding over to the tables and drawers rummage through them until I find the first aid and grab medical supplies from inside. Running over to her I inspect the bite marks. They were deep but would be fine. I wrap up her wounds and once finished step back and look over her. I then remember there is a live killing machine in the room with me and I look around spotting it sniffing the glass containers and vials on one of the tables hidden away in the shadows. Sensing my gaze on it it turns around and begins staring at me. It turns around completely and walks over. Sitting at my feet it looks at me with wise glowing eye sockets. It oddly seems that the mechanical wolf has a mutual respect for me, but still give off an aura of warning. I stand up and tilt my head while smiling. "Maybe I should finish you up" the thought crost my mind looking into its eye sockets. I had yet to give it proper eyes. Yes it could see but not well. First things first though.

"Come here wolfie, I won't hurt you... I just want to show you your brother, you're actually just one of the prototypes... your brother is my real project" I shake my hand indicating to the wolf to come and it follows somehow understanding me. I knew they were going to be smart but I didn't expect this much. I chuckled to myself. I actually didn't know what to expect.

The book I had found all my knowledge on creating the mechanical creatures like this was mostly torn apart and ruined. The book had been passed down from my father to me. He said our history would one day reveal itself to me. Also... to protect that book with my life.

Sadly little of the treasurable knowledge was spared inside. Thies beast of metal were one of the few things left inside mostly untouched. The most important part of turning them on was one of the things lost. I had spent months trying to figure it out. What was I missing?

I walk to the curtained corner of the room and start pulling the ropes on the side which began opening the curtains up to the second room. It was a step up onto the floor of the second room. The room itself was just as tall as the last but half the size in a circular width. Once the curtains were out of the the way the room revealed to have a slightly unfinished metal contraption. It was massive, taking up all the space in the second room.

"You see I love wolves... but I have a fascination with mythical creatures... Sadly this may never be real."

I walk up to the ancient book I had set upon the shelf of a small whiteboard i'd angled a bit upwards. I closed it and Putting it under my arm. With that I close the curtains again.

Looking back the young girl was still laying on the ground. I walk back to her and finally getting a good chance to see her, she appears to only be a few years younger than me, maybe 16 or 17? Dirty blond long hair cut in rough shattered layers with three blond highlights on one side of her head then one on her side swooping bangs. On the same side as the three highlights she had a tin tightly braided braid. Her eyes which I saw a lot of before with all her silent staring were a soul piercing light blue. Now that I thought about it they seemed almost unnatural. My eyes then travel to the new marking on her chest. It suddenly dawned on me that I've seen that design before. I look at the book I had been holding under my arm and sure enough it's the same as the cover.

The cover of the book had the mark impressed into its red leather and in the center a single yellow crystal stone was placed. It was about the size that if not in the book cover would fit perfectly in the center of my palm.

Coming back from being sidetracked yet again I realized how uncomfortable the floor must be for her. So I gently pick her up careful not to hurt her wounds or wake her up. Once she was situated in my arms comfortably I took her to the makeshift living room in another part of the building just through the doors to the west in the lab and set her on the couch inside. This part of the building actually LOOKED like a home not just some makeshift room out of scrap metal. I grabbed a light blue blanket from the basket next to the couch and draped it over her. I don't want her to freeze to death during the night. I was a decent person after all, some might even say good one. I just get a bit to crazy when it comes to my work. It was driving me mad. A few too many sleepless nights working on those dang beasts and never even getting them to work.

I almost felt sorry for even thinking that basically killing someone would be the answer to getting the beasts to work.
