"So," I thought loudly, "if Pegasus isn't the person we're looking for, then who is?"
I braced myself against the desk. Tons of papers were neatly arranged at both ends. A telephone was placed on the left for easy access. There was even a goldfish merrily swimming round and round in its bowl of an aquarium.
"I don't know," Kaiba told me. "My men tell me that this person is very cunning, slips from the law and is out there somewhere."
"You know we have an assignment that is worth sixty percent of our grades right?" I suddenly informed.
Kaiba looked at me, his azure eyes very amused and his lips attempting to forbid any cruel laughter.
"That's what you're worried about?" he asked me, the main topic of conversation placed on pause.
"Well," I began walking around the room, "it doesn't mean that you can't show a bit more interest in college. They say certificates count you know."
Kaiba's gaze began at my curly hair that was a halo around my head, going to my Atomic Flame lipstick, my pink and white checkered spaghetti strap top, my blue jeans and strappy heeled shoe.
Why do I feel an abrupt heat coursing through my face? I'm not sick, am I? I reverted my eyes on the goldfish and felt that the only thing missing in this scene was a pole so I can show my skills to Mr. Seto. Why in great fucks did I even think that? Ew. I'm such a disgusting person. Yuck!
"Um, Kaiba," I transformed my ridiculous blushing into blissful contempt, "I'm sure there're even important cards for you to look like you want to screw. But I'm not a card. I'm real. So, just keep your eyes trained on my eyes, not anywhere else on me. Understood, you vile organic junk of a male species?"
The fool snapped his eyes to mine and said, "My apologies Shanaza," while sacking some more papers into the heap at one end.
Wait, Kaiba was supposed to be angry, give me a merry- go- round of words and emotions too. Why did he even say that? See what I mean? This is so unreadable. I pouted. I don't like that. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it!
"Are we finished here?" I asked.
Maybe mentally waring wasn't my thing. I walked over to the couch and sat. I knew if I spun around, those lecherous eyes would be transfixed on me. I placed my hands on my thighs and looked at Kaiba. He was wearing his usual white trench coat, necklace, black sweater and jeans.
"Kaiba, have you ever thought of wearing anything else other than that?" I questioned.
"What's wrong with what I have on?" he threw, but he looked at himself.
I shrugged. "I don't know, it just seems very monotonous. Drone. Yawn!"
"Would you like to show me what to wear?" he asked, a smile forming at the end of his lips.
Not in the mood for this today.
"No, I'm good. You can ask Mokuba though. I'm sure he'll give you some friendly, brotherly advice."
"You actually have no interest to play words war with me? Now this is a first."
I could hear the amusement in his voice. I reclined on the seat and shut up. I exhaled while my eyes trained on Kaiba as he got up from his seat. He walked over at the end of his office, opened the mini fridge and took out a bottle. Was that alcoholic? I don't drink alcohol. Why would I even think he would offer it to me? Why the hell am I even thinking that Kaiba is a nice person? I could have removed my own entrails, if I still would have been alive and not committed to a coo- coo ward.
