I really thought Kaiba hated me, but sometimes he surprises me. As for my friends, they knew something was brewing between us, but they were kind enough to zip it, except for Joey of course.
But you Mr. Seto, you & your draconian heart.
You k...
"Well, have you found anything useful? We have been at this for a while," I felt the natural urge to point out.

Kaiba gazed at me.
"My men are working on this very rapidly. However, we do prefer your cooperation in the situation."
I inhaled.
"I know. I'm sorry," I told him, sinking into the sapphire cushioned seat as I placed a hand on my forehead and raked my head back. "I just want this to end as soon as possible. Then everything can return to normal."
Kaiba hovered next to me and looked at the men moving their hands smoothly across the many keypads. The ceiling lights malformed the lab into a disco club. Kaiba's visage kept changing.
"Do you think we really can pull this off, everything?" I almost said the last part in a shushed voice. The look Kaiba gave me sliced my veins.
"Of course we can. Do you really think I have all this money for nothing?"
I looked away and smirked. Yup, same old Kaiba. Good to know he hasn't altered his personality during our plan.
"When shall we go and pay a visit to the island?" I asked.
"Right now."
He barked a few orders, reminding his employees that if they don't get what they're trying to accomplish, he will fire them all and give a very bad review so they will never find another job in this wonderful galaxy.
Kaiba turned and headed towards the door. His white trench coat, initials of his name on his collar and his chain all together, gave off quite a domineering effect. I love it when he walked like he owned all the cards in the world. Maybe he did, the thought occurred to me.
I followed him in an elevator which led to the hangar. The men in navy overalls rushed to greet us. One of them opened the helicopter's door. Of course I was too short I couldn't even get into the damn thing. Kaiba capitalized on my transparent distress momentarily, then thought it would be thrilling to prove that chivalry is not dead. Accepting his princely offer, I sat next to him.
The doors of the helicopter shut and we were off. Soon enough I could see the Duelist Kingdom that Maximillion Pegasus owned.
