Back in Albuquerque, Hugo and Axel had already gone through four shops, and Hugo couldn't find a good gift for Sofia.

"Axel, maybe we should take a little break from this shopping," Hugo suggested.

"Are you sure?" Axel asked. "Wassalia is three days away."

"I know, but I just can't...," Hugo was about to say. But then something caught his eye: a figurine of a woman who looked like an older version of Sofia. "Wow, that's beautiful."

"It sure is," the shopkeeper smiled. "It plays a beautiful song." She wound up the figurine, and it played a beautiful song: the same song Sofia's music box played.

"I think Sofia will like this," Hugo smiled. "It reminds me of our first ice-dancing recital."

Hugo bought the figurine and went home with Axel. As the princes rode home in their coach, they saw that everyone was decorating for Wassalia.

"Hey, Ax, doesn't the village look even fancier than it was this morning?" Hugo asked.

Axel saw that his little brother was right. "You're right, baby bro," he agreed.

Hugo heard the villagers saying that Sofia would love their decorations. He was starting to feel a little uncomfortable; there could be a good chance that the villagers could be a bit competitive in impressing Sofia and making her first Wassalia in Albuquerque perfect.
