Melanie's party was a success.

That's why it's gonna be hard for me to do this.

It's not that I don't love her.

I do with all my heart.

I wish I could tell her why.

She deserves to know.

But I can't.

My addiction is gonna interfere with her life somehow.

And it's gonna happen soon.

I can't let her suffer because of me.

I won't let her suffer because of me.

If I tell her why she'll just wanna get into it.

I must keep Melanie Martinez safe.

Narrator POV

Chris: if you don't have your money by tomorrow you're screwed
Ashton: I will
Chris: you know what happens if u don't.
Ashton: wut?
Chris: Hide your kids, hide your wife

Ashton got in his car hesitating to put the key in the ignition.

When he did he started to drive heading for Mel's house.

He was coming unannounced.

When he arrived Melanie was out on her porch fixing a plant.

That was Mel for ya.

"Ashton? Hey boo"

"Hey sweetheart, can we talk?"

"Uh oh that doesn't sound good"

Ashton walked into the house of his soon to be ex girlfriend, with guilt all over his face.

Ashton motioned her to sit down.

The emotions were unbearable.

Ashton burst into tears.

Ashton rarely cried.

He really didn't want to do this.

"Babe, uhm, I really don't wanna do this but I'm breaking up, with, uhm, you." Ashton cried.

It was like a bullet shot right through Mel's heart.

She'd never felt so broken.

It was the first time and Melanie new it was bound to happen.

She just didn't know when.

"Get out," she said calmly.

"What wait,"

"Get out!"

Ashton quickly got up from his seat on the couch and stopped at the door.
