A/N: trigger warning for violence, just in case. Hope you enjoy :)

You were currently sitting outside the building that you worked at with your father. The big words (L/N) Defense & Survival in big bold letters. It was a rather big hit when your father decided to start the various self defense and survival classes two years ago, so free time like this was rare.

You were pulled from your thoughts when you heard your name being shouted. You looked to see the running figure of Miko, with a big smile on her face.

"Hey there Nakadai," you said as you waved back.

Miko had come to really like you when you met her a couple months ago. She though you were a totally awesome and couldn't get enough of you. So, you could say she was your fan and would hang out with you whenever she could.

"I didn't think school got out for another hour. What are you doing here exactly?" You asked with a raised eyebrow and smirk appearing on your face.

"Oh, uh...hehe, I may have, possibly, ditched by jumping out the window of the principals office when he wasn't looking," Miko said sheepishly.

You let out a laugh and rolled your eyes. "You're crazy Nakadai," you stated as she took a seat next to you.

"So, can you tell me more about where you've been when your dad was in the military?" Miko asked excitedly. Miko loved the stories you had to tell her about when you were little and moved around a lot.

"Well, I was born in Darwin, Australia, when my dad was stationed at the Robertson Barracks," you stated and her eyes grew wider.

"Woah! No way!" She says as she bounces a little excitedly.

"And then we moved to Oahu, Hawai'i and lived there for three years," you said and waited for her excited reaction again. On cue, she let out an excited squeal.

"Wait, so you moved every three years? Do the other military branches do that?" She asked me.

"Well for the Marines we moved every three years, and the same goes for people enlisted in the Navy and the Army. For Air Force it can be three years but I've had friends in the Air Force who moved every nine months to a year sometimes. It can also depend if you have a family when you're switching stations or if you're going overseas," You explained as Miko nodded.

We continued talking for another hour when an ambulance pulled up in the parking lot next to our building. "Oh! That's my ride," she says as she gets up to leave.

"Wait? I though your ride was a green SUV?" You asked.

"Oh, it is. I'm just catching a ride from...a friend! Yeah, definitely a friend," she replied quickly. You raised your eyebrow, unsure if she was telling the truth.

"Alright...I'll see you later then," You said as she ran off waving goodbye.

Ratchet PoV

Due to Bulkhead receiving some serious damage on the last encounter with Decepticons, I was now in charge of picking up Miko from school. I was confused when I couldn't find her at her school and decided to track her cell phone.

'Why can't she just do as she's told and wait for me at her school? I'm busy as it is (grumpy grumps, lol).'

I found her outside a building with the words (L/N) Defense & Survival talking to a (H/C) haired girl who was dressed in a black shirt, shorts, and a camouflage jacket. I'd be rolling my optics if I was in my original form, assuming the girl was exactly like Miko.

I watched as Miko waved goodbye to the girl she was talking to and ran over to me. She hopped in, slamming my door behind her. "Ready to go!" She yelled loudly, earning an annoyed sigh from me.
