"He's coming!"

"Hide with the children, I'll hold him off!"

"Good luck, James."

"I'll do my best, Lily."

Lily Potter grabbed two little one-year-olds, each in their little bundles of cloth, and ran up the stairs. Tears ran down her cheeks, knowing that they were most likely all doomed. Although, she was less sad for herself than she was for the other. For James, and the little ones, Harry and Ivy. She heard the door open as she turned the corner up the stairs. She ran into the nursery, and could hear her husband protesting, and trying to fight back.

"Please have mercy, I..."

"Good bye, James Potter."

As this took place downstairs, Lily placed the two babies into their respective cribs and then put her own wand at the ready.

Then everything stopped. It was quiet. The only sound Lily could hear was the sound of her own breathing, becoming more rapid each and every second.

"AVADA KEDAVRA!"

She heard the sound of a crash as James inevitably was shot back and killed. She didn't dare peek out the nursery door, and instead tried to stay as quiet as possible. The little ones didn't know what the killing curse had done, and therefore were indifferent. More tears silently ran down Lily's cheeks, and she wiped them away with her left hand, her non wand arm, or non dominant. The door opened, and she braced herself. The hooded figure behind it smirked.

"Ah, I see you have some little ones," the figure raised his wand.

"No! Not Harry and Ivy, please no, take me instead! Not the little ones! Kill me, not them!" Lily protested, begging for something the heartless figure wouldn't give her.

"This is your last warning, step aside woman," the wand was ready to do the same spell that had killed her husband only moments before.

"Not Harry and Ivy! Please... have mercy...not Harry! Not Ivy! Please—I'll do anything..."

"AVADA KEDAVRA!"

Lily was practically kicked aside, and the two cribs behind her carried the last two people in the hooded figure's way.

The figure pointed his wand at the first child, the girl, Ivy. "AVADA KEDAVRA!"

The baby's crib collapsed on top of her, and she was tossed to the side of the crib. The figure didn't bother to check if the little baby was dead, and instead moved on to the second one, the boy, Harry. The figure felt a sharp pain in his stomach, but he ignored it, at least for now. The pain was excruciating though and he winced very quickly before getting ready to cast the spell again.

He took a deep breath, "AVADA KEDAVRA!"

The spell did not turn out as he had hoped. Something was wrong. It backfired onto him, and the excruciating and sharp pain in his stomach became bigger and bigger, until he couldn't take it, and he lost his body. He wasn't dead, just...there wasn't a word for it. His spirit left, and the two babies were alone with the bodies of their dead parents.

Ivy was buried under the rubble of her crib, and Harry was crying. A few minutes later, they heard someone clomp up the stairs, not the hooded figure, but a huge figure.

"Gotta get 'em out 'fore the muggles come," he muttered to himself, finding baby Harry and picking him up. He looked for little Ivy, but he didn't have a lot of time to look before he heard voices. "Muggles," he muttered before leaving. "The other 'ne 'as prolly dead 'nyway." He told himself, getting back onto the flying motorcycle that had brought him there.

Ivy lay unconscious under the rubble, barely alive, but the "muggles" were coming.

"What happened?"

"Ooh, they passed away."

"Did it collapse on them?"

"It doesn't look like it; there's no scratches."

Most of the muggles left quickly, perhaps to call the police, but one pair stayed. Dr. Evelyn Granger and Dr. Myles Granger, two married dentists. They carried with them a daughter not quite a year older than the Potter twins, a little girl named Hermione. They saw the rubble move, where Ivy's little chest moved up and down, and Myles stepped closer, as Evelyn was carrying Hermione.

"I-It's a little girl. She's barely alive," he informed his wife, picking up the baby. He saw the headboard of the destroyed crib, and picked it up, looking at both sides. One side was blank, and the other side had a name written on it. Ivy.

"Hermione, you're gonna have a sister!" Dr. Evelyn exclaimed to her daughter, holding her up.

"If she lives..." Dr. Myles muttered.
