"—Be intrigued by that choice." Who would be "intrigued by that choice"? What choice? Wand choice, something else...? Ivy's head hurt a little with all the thoughts zooming through it.
"See you at Hogwarts," Harry said, interrupting Ivy's thoughts.
"See you there!" Hermione smiled.
"Yeah, we'll see you there," Ivy said a little weakly.
"Are you okay?" Harry asked, concerned.
"I'm fine, just a little headache," Ivy assured him.
"Sure?"
"Yeah, yeah, I'm sure," Ivy swung her right hand to dismiss the thought.
"Well, we have to go get more books!" Hermione exclaimed eagerly.
"I have to go with Hagrid to...uh...oh look there he is! He's got a...snowy owl?"
"We saw him at the pet store...Eeylops I think. He must've gotten him or her there," Ivy explained.
" 'Ello Harry. Gotcha an owl for yer birthday," Hagrid said eagerly.
"Oh, you didn't have to..." Harry said modestly.
"Snowy owls actually mainly hunt during the day time," Hermione said in her know-it-all tone.
"Yes, we were aware how smart you are," Ivy said bitterly.
Hagrid suddenly realized Ivy was there, "Harry, we, uh...we 'ave to go get more potion ingredients."
"Uh...no we don't," Harry was confused. "We already got all of them."
"No, we 'orgot one, let's go!" Hagrid almost dragged Harry—who gave Ivy a small wave—to the apothecary.
Ivy watched as Harry was dragged away, before she saw a strange figure walk by. High heels, a gold chained necklace, with a strange stone in the middle, and black, rather formal robes.
The young woman looked towards Ivy and Hermione with a cold stare. She had long black hair and icy blue eyes that were filled with nothing. She fingered with the stone on the necklace, muttering something to herself, before walking into Gringotts. Another woman was following her, with similar black hair, but less formal and more casual clothes.
"Who are they?" Ivy whispered to Hermione.
"I dunno," Hermione whispered back in defeat.
"Alright, any extra books you wanna get?" Professor Sprout walked over to the two of them.
"Is there such a thing as extra books?" Hermione asked, thinking the obvious answer was "no".
"Yes, there is such a thing as extra books," Ivy said dryly.
"Anyway, we're just gonna head over to Flourish and Blotts, and then you guys can head home, and then I'll come back on September 1st to get you to the train," Professor Sprout explained.
"That sounds like a plan," Evelyn Granger said as the five of them entered Flourish and Blotts.
There were oohs and ahs from Hermione, and Ivy was dragged away from books with really cool looking hexes.
"You can't even do any of those, wait until at least your sixth year," Professor Sprout explained.
Ivy sighed quietly, and glanced over at Hermione. She was slowly running her fingers over book spines, whispering each title to herself, too quiet for Ivy to hear.
"How many books can I get?" she asked.
"Let's go with five," Myles Granger smiled.
"Each?" Ivy asked curiously, interested in learning about the wizarding world.
