Okay,I should be flogged. For making my wonderful readers wait for this chapter for so long.
Sorry doesn't solve all the problems in this world but I'm sorry nevertheless. Been here and there so I just decided to create these few minutes to update this chapter.

Sleep...A journey to comfort zone.

Majeedah sat still,staring into the space in front of her,then her gaze shifted to the innocent-looking girl coiled up in the armchair,sleeping like she's free from all the worries in the world.

That's what sleep does,it takes the mind and soul off everything and into a journey of total darkness for a moment.

She watched in pity,how her chest heaved up and down as though making rhythms out of her steady breath.
She looked from Rahma to her husband,who probably hadn't still recovered from the shock. He stared too, at nothingness.

Quietly clearing his throat as if on cue, he said almost in a whisper, his voice still hoarse
"You should go to sleep now,let's resolve this by daybreak"

Majeedah didn't respond, as though she hadn't heard him speak,until he touched her briefly and said again

"Go to bed honey, it's getting very late"

"How about you?aren't you going to sleep?"

"I will,very soon"

She moved closer to him so carefully as if he might disappear if he notices her coming close,and held his hands in hers

"Let's go to sleep together, I won't leave here without you, we have to go through this together"

A small smile played on his lips and he stared at her warmly as if searching for answers to some questions.

"As your ladyship pleases"

He replied lightheartedly.

They climbed the stairs hand-in-hand and soon set into a peaceful sleep in the comfort of their king-sized bed.
