We were born with a set of instructions
Like default settings
We were told to be tough
Even when it’s hard
We were told to never show fear
Even in the darkest times
We were told...To never cry
But it’s so hard
So hard to not cry
To keep the tears in
When you lose something special
Someone special
Someone who really cares
Someone you can count on
Someone you’d do anything for
There are some of us men
Some who don't lie to protect ourselves
To seem brave and strong
We'll eventually get fed up
We'll finally speak our minds
And these words will exit our mouthes
I wanna know
Is how to make you happy
Please name it
And I’ll do it
You are the only person that really cares
I don’t wanna lose you
