Ch. 12: Recovering

I got out of the hospital 3 days after my incident at dance and I couldn't be in more in a crappy mood. My dancer teacher visited me in the hospital and she told me we would have been doing that trick even if I was going to go to New York so I feel better now knowing I really did make the right choice. Shelby brought me flowers and a 3 foot tall giraffe. It is my most favorite animal and I am often called one because I am all and have very long legs. (Y'all are gonna kill me for saying this but giraffes are going extinct so I'm crying) Grayson and Ethan had gone home in New Jersey the day after I was hurt so they won't be back for a while. My mom promised me in 2 weeks that I will be aloud to return to New Jersey with her in 2 week when I'm better in crutches and not a wheelchair. That was the one thing keeping me happy was getting to see him. I was laying in bed and my mom knocked on the door. She walked in with a teddy bear about the size of half my height and almost twice my width. She could I tell I was tired and didn't feel like talking so she just put it by me in my bed kissed the top of my head and walked out. There was a card attached to it so I opened it. It was from Grayson and Ethan. Inside try also had a Starbucks gift card for $15 it said they remembered how I always brought it to school when I came in early or stayed up late. It also had 10 Polaroids of us 3 throughout our journey. Although a few were some nasty ones of me in Jersey that they took of me in my room when they hated me. I just giggled at the others and put then in the drawer in my nightstand. I was tired so I cuddled next to the teddy bear until I fell asleep a few minutes later.
*1 week later*
It has been 1 week since I was released from the hospital and I have been feeling much better. I am out of the wheelchair today and I have a plane ticket for 4 days after today. I don't want to text Grayson that I'm coming so I only texted his mom and she agreed that we will keep it secret and I will surprise him after wrestling practice. She said she will get me in the school and I will wait for him in the main lobby by the doors the wrestlers come out of. She also isn't telling Ethan as well so I'm surprising him too. They also don't want to miss school at hang with me so the administration has agreed to letting me walk Grayson and Ethan's schedules since I was once a student here and they probably had some form of pity for me since I left. I am so exited to go I have already packed most of my bag and I am so ready to get on the plane and go. But until then I will just have so wait.
