We walked into Italiano's and I started to get nervous. I mean a blind date, really? A million things could happen. I mean the guy could be gross looking. Or he could be a total butt hole. Or he could smell weird. Or her could be---

"That's your date!" Carly whispered and pointed at this tall, dark haired man.

All my thoughts of horrible things that this guy could be went away. He was hot. Carly really set me up. His appearance seemed tough, and cool. He was tall, I'm going to guess about 6'2. He had dark brown hair that was a little longer in the front so that he could push it over to the side. He had piercing blue eyes, that locked onto mine when he looked back at me. When he did my heart felt as if it stopped. I suddenly realized what was happening, we were just staring at each other while Carly and Ryan stared at us. I quickly turned towards Carly,
"This is crazy."
She smiled at me and said, "His name is Zac Ashton. Have fun."
I smiled sweetly at her and walked toward a table. I felt my face get hot as Zac walked over to me and greeted me with a sincere 'hello' and firm handshake. As he was closer I could tell he was in good shape.

I didn't know what to say, it was so awkward. I figured I had to say something. So, after a few minutes of thinking I decided on saying, "So how do you know Ryan?", and the reply I got surprised me.

"You don't remember me?"

"I'm sorry?"

"We went to middle school together?
I looked at him puzzled.
I,um,was a little shorter,braces?"
"Oh, wow you really grew up?"
"So did you Age. You look great." he smiled shyly at me.
"Thank you."

After that the waiter came over to take our orders and everything was quiet between Zac and I until after we were finished eating. He had asked me, "So, did you know that Carly and Ryan were doing this?"
"No.... Did you?"
"Nope."
"Oh cool."
Am I serious, 'Oh cool' was the best i could come up with. To save my self i decided it was time to ask a good question.
"So,what do you do for a living; or what do you want to do?"
"I don't do anything right now and I don't plan on it."
That just ruined everything. I mean I would be crazy to have anything with a guy that doesn't care how he lives right? I shouldn't be with a guy that doesn't have any idea what he want out of the future, or at least that's what my brain was telling me. My feeling on the other hand were telling me to go for it. I was just so attracted to him. There was just something about him that was so mysterious and exciting. That was something I hadn't ever experienced before. Before I realized how deep in thought I was I was interrupted with a question,
"Well how about you, what do you want to do career wise?"
I was glad he was actually taking an interest in me and I answered, "I want to do something in the athletic field. I mean I would love to make it into the WNBA,but that's just a dream. I also wouldn't mind being a coach for different school sports either. Although basketball is my favorite." I realized I was rambling and stopped suddenly to look up at Zac. To which I found his eyes latched on to me, and seeming to excitedly wait to hear what I was going to say next. I decided to call him out by saying "I'm sorry I just love what I do, and I could ramble and just talk about it for hours."
He smiled at me and said, "Well it's not everyday I meet a girl so passionate about something."
I blushed and smiled towards him. The server came over to the table with our bill. Zac decided he wanted to pay and I chipped in with the tip. We payed for the food and I realized that this blind date was coming to an end. We both got up from our chair and as I went to push my chair in, Zac asked me something i wasn't expecting...
