Telling Mom and Dad

Sawyer's POV

Tyler slept over my house again last night. He didn't feel like driving home, which was fine by me.

Today is the day. The day I tell my parents that I'm gay. I rolled out if bed, stretching and rubbing my eyes. I walked out to see Tyler chilling on the couch on his laptop.

"Hey Ty," I said to him.

"Good morning Sleeping Beauty!" he said with a giggle.

"Hey, so uhh... We are pretty much dating, right?" I questioned.

"Do you want us to be?" Tyler asked, flashing his adorable grin.

"Of course I do!" I responded, sitting next to him on the couch.

"Me too! In that case, we are officially together! The Sawler Ship had set sail!" he laughed again.

"Yeah! Well, today I'm going to go to my parents' house and tell them that I'm gay. Can you please come with me?" I asked.

"Of course. This is a big moment and it can be challenging. I'm absolutely going to be there to support you," Tyler said, hugging me.

"Thanks. I really hope they are supportive of me. I couldn't ask for a nicer, more respectful, more loving boyfriend," I said.

"Awww, Sawyer-" Tyler said, but I cut him off my pushing our lips together. This moment was just so full of pure love. Nothing sexual, just real, true love.

We arrived at my parents' house at 5:00. I knocked on the door.

"I hope this goes well," I said.

"It will. I promise," Tyler reassured me, giving me a quick kiss before my mom answered the door.

"Sawyer, you're here! Hello Tyler, how are you?" she said. She had met Tyler before when she came to my house one time.

"I'm good, how are you?" He responded politely.

We were eating dinner and I finally decided that this was the moment.

"Mom, Dad, can I tell you something really important? Please promise too won't judge me or hate me," I said, shorting Tyler a quick look. He nodded.

"Of course, honey. We would never hate you. You're our son," my mom responded.

"Ok, well... I'm gay and Tyler is my boyfriend," I said.

"That's fine. You're still our son and we still love you, no matter your sexual orientation," my dad said. I felt a huge weight lift off my shoulders.

"Thank you so much for understanding," I said, hugging both of them. I smiled at Tyler and he smiled back. I'm so glad this all worked out.

So I just realized something.

I realized that Sawyer asked tyler if they are a couple even though that was already established in the chapter "Truth or Dare."
