Tyler's POV

Sawyer was at the gym and I was just sitting at home, doing YouTube stuff on my laptop. It started to rain pretty hard and more and more came down each minute. Slightly worried, I sent Soy Sauce a text.

Tyler: Hey babe. It's raining pretty hard out there, you coming home soon?

Sawyer: Yeah, I'll be home soon. Love you and miss you. <3

Tyler: Love you too honey. <3

The rain really picked up. Lightning crashed to the ground and thunder raged in the sky. A loud "BOOM!" shook the house. It was really starting to get scary now! I curled up in a ball in the couch and turned on the TV. An hour later, a deafening crash of thunder struck and the power went out with a flick. A tear streamed down my face and I clutched a pillow. I needed Sawyer. Soon, thousands I tears escaped from my eyes. I grabbed my phone to text Sawyer. I hope he is ok.

Tyler: Babe where are you! I'm scared! Are you ok? <3

No response.

Tyler: Babe! I'm scared!!! Please answer!

Still nothing.

I was truly terrified. I longed to feel Sawyer's touch, his warm skin hugging me. I curled up in a ball, still clutching the pillow, and sobbed for what felt like hours.

Finally, after what felt like years and years, Sawyer burst through the front door, soaking wet. I leaped up off the couch.

"YOU'RE HOME! YOU'RE OK! Finally, I was so scared!" I exclaimed, wrapping my arms tight around him. I instantly felt safe and secure.

"I'm sorry I couldn't respond to your texts, I was driving and trying not to get into an accident," Sawyer said. The sound of his beautiful voice calmed me. He gently wiped the tears off of my face, but they just kept streaming down. Sawyer took my hand and lead me toward the couch. He sat down and I curled up next to him as close as I could get. His warmth was reassuring. His arm around my shoulder and my hand lightly resting on his chest. We stayed there for an hour, listen to the rain patter against the rooftop.

"I have an idea," I said with a grin, standing up from the couch and making my way to the kitchen. I opened the drawer and pulled out two flashlights. I set them on an open space on the floor and I ran into our storage closet. I happily pulled out a thin, long box and brought it out to Sawyer.

"Let's play CandyLand!" I said, full of pure glee.

"Ok!" Sawyer said with a laugh, grabbing the flashlights and handing one to me. We plopped ourselves on the floor and opened the game.

"I call being King Kandy!" Sawyer said, picking up the character game piece.

"You can have him. I'm Queen Frostine bitch!" I giggled. We played the game having the time of our lives.

"You know why I picked this game?" I questioned, looking deep into Sawyer's eyes.

"Why?" he said, a small smile creeping across his lips.

"Because you're the sweetest person I know!" I said, leaning over the board and planting a kiss on his lips.

"Love you," I said, hardly breaking the kiss to say it.

"Love you too," he responded. I moved away from the game, being careful not to wreck it. I pushed Sawyer down onto the floor. We both threw our flashlights down to the side and I hovered overtop of him. We laid there, kissing in the darkness, for what felt like forever. I'm never leaving this boy. Never.
