Chapter 5 / My Mom?

Wait... What, what do you mean papa. He's never used that tone to the either of us. I look at him in disbelief and worry.

Kiyoshi's POV

Papa, what are you hiding from us, you've never acted this way. "You know what Kiyoshi? some things shouldn't be told" he says with a raspy voice. I stare into his eyes once more before losing my calm. What do you mean!! Are you telling us you've been hiding something all these years and that where not worthy of knowing what's going on. We are your children, and we were going to find out some day so why not tell us now. *Kyoko breaks the silence... "you know what papa? You don't have to tell us the truth... In fact you don't have to tell us anything if that's what you wish, me and Kiyoshi will just have to figure it out on our own."

Kyoko grabbed Kiyoshi tightly and ran to their room. "No - n - o" I don't want it to be this way, I know papa will tell us sooner or later wether he likes it or not.

Papas POV

Slowly I walk towards the kitchen. I take out the transparent small teacups... and boil the remaining herbs and water together. Tea is served just about right I say in a whisper.

I think it's time.

Kiyoshi's POV

I could here the wary steps papas taking on the hard wood floors. In his hands, a brown tray and some cups of tea. He always does this when we have a discussion and it's almost calming to me. He settled down beside me and Kyoko. "So... I see you have the silver Kitama sword." Papa says "Hmph.. I do." "What you have is a prized possession...

It's used to kill monsters" "monsters?!" Kyoko exclaims. "Yes you see, this has to do with your mom and..." "My mom! Kiyoshi and Kyoko  say in sync, and look at each other in an instant.

" You see, long ago before you two lost your mom there was a killing. Monsters, hungry and ferocious  monsters  came in this town in search of one thing and that was your mother. "Our mother! But why?" Kyoko questioned. "Because she was a goddess, she was one of a kind, she was everything you needed and more, she restored and kept the town of Yokohama ( population 4.2 mill ) revived and just fine. She kept everything at ease and lives were easier for many. There are 2 other goddesses including your mom in Japan that keep cities at ease and control but who knows wether there alive or not..."

"A goddess" I say to my self, I would've never imagined my mom being more than extraordinary. *papa continues* "The monsters, they come from another world, another dimension...
The monsters got through quite the suffer, everyone was depressed for years and were in a horrid state at the time so the monsters thought if they could capture one of the greatest goddess in Japan, she'll carry her reliving spirit all through out. But that wasn't right she couldn't leave her town to go to a different one and this was definitely not the way to deal with it. Then one day the reckless and ferocious monsters arrived. They caused a ruckus and took the goddess of Yokohama with them leaving the town at miouserey..."

The both of us were at a loss for words we just stared at papa in a blank. Little by little I kept on sipping my tea biting it hard with my lip. I had the sudden urge to rage but right now wasn't the time.

"But what about the sword" I said to papa. "Yes, the sword, it's a weapon not to just defend you but to attack" "defend, attack... what?" I say. The monsters papa exclaims.

"Look I know that you miss your mom just as much as I do, so does the town of Yokoaham but Kiyoshi...

You must slay the monsters and bring back your mom, it's for the best of all of us."
