Zayn.
"Are you excited for your birthday next weekend? Please tell me that you are going to throw a sick party." My best friend, Jordan, said as we walked the halls of our school on our way to switch our books before going to the cafeteria.
"You know I will! I have to find my Luna and I can't do that without everyone in one place and that would result in a party." I replied with an excitement that matches his.
I really hope that I find my mate because if not, I really don't want to think what my parents will do. They are always controlling my life and if I get one A-, they never let me forget how dumb I am until the next time we get results. That is probably why I am the best battle strategist in our pack. That job is usually for the head warrior but I can't let anyone surpass me in anything.
We got to Jordan's locker and he opened it while I leaned on the one next to it. "I have been praying to the Goddess that she gives you a strong and beautiful mate or enlighten your parents so that they know that you didn't choose your mate. I mean if you end up with an Omega, they are going to throw such a fit that you would swear that it's your fault." Jordan is the only one that knows my home situation since I needed someone to confide in and a shoulder to cry on.
"Yeah. I hope for a strong one, preferably an Alpha." I answered because even though I am next in line to be the Alpha, I am very submissive. I think it has to do with not receiving any love from my parents. I think that I just want someone to take care of me and love me. Don't get me wrong, I'm not into all that BDSM shit (A/N. No offense). I just don't want to be a grown up, I want to just be me and not think of the consequences. I just want to be a kid and enjoy my life the way I never was able to.
"You would like that, wouldn't you? And I think it will be a win-win situation. You get your Alpha and your parents get off your back because your mate is strong." Jordan said as we made it my locker and I switch my books for the ones I will need after lunch break.
"Yes, but the bad news is that if that is the case, then it might take a while for me to find them and who knows what my parents will do?" I looked at him as we made our way to the cafeteria to meet the rest of our friends.
"Hey Zee," Jordan stopped me before we entered the cafeteria. "Whatever you decide to do, just know that I got your back. You are my brother and the last thing I want to see you as is miserable. So when the time comes, just shout." I gave him a hug after he said that. Jordan is the only person that actually cares about me as a person, instead of as the future Alpha.
I nodded and we walked in together and went to our table, any traces of our conversation wiped away and only smiles present.
And that's how I spent the rest of the day. Like any other day before that and the few left after that, with a fake smile on my face and fake friends by my side, except for Jordan.
