As the morning arrived from the West, the geese had already awoken. The little buck slowly woke into the beautiful morning light as he was about to set off again on his journey. He hadn't known where to, or why, but just because it felt right. The geese bid him their goodbyes and he walked confidently back into the trees and grass where he would find more interest, and learn much more. He walked next to some holes in the ground where he assumed snakes and many small mammals lived. And as he expected, a snake (or a few) had been living there. One leapt at him with his jaws wide. The deer moved fast without fear. The snake kept snapping and attacking him, but with every attempt to no avail. The snake eventually grew tired, and the deer, the same.

The snake pitifully said "Are you a coward? Why are you dodging me?". The deer smiled lightly with a caring look "Because it would not be ideal for me to be poisoned on my journey, and / or my instincts tainted.". The snake was not impressed, he struck again without warning, but even so, the deer quick witted, moved. The look on his face still unchanging. "You are getting very impatient I see, little snake. You are pitiful in your every attempt to hurt me. To poison me is not really in your interest is it? Are you the evil, or the follower of it? You can only be one. It makes no sense to be a ruler, and also a follower of yourself. Whatever it may be, your technique and your morals are all wrong.".

"You think you know so much about my species and myself.". The deer responded with "I do, much more than an arrogant snake like you would know. I've observed many species of the forests including your own. I suggest you become wiser and quit your foolish acts that are obviously frivolous. What you are doing is pointless, really. Very well without heart, and it is the fact that snakes are the offenders, and are without much defense." The snake was startled with this retort and said "Then what is your purpose?". The garu smiled and said "That is for me to find out, known as a freak, there isn't much left. But with the circumstances, I could be considered much wiser and smarter than humans, and they are known to be the most intelligent creatures on the face of earth.".

The snake fell in silence and then dared to say more words "What is your name anyways, freak." The deer thought for a moment, and realized, he had no name. "I do not have one, little snake." The snake smirked "Then I will continue to call you freak and spread it as is." The deer could care less, for he was wiser and could outsmart any of the species, the snakes though, were one of the easiest. "Very well, but know that it won't bother me now, nor later in life." The snake gave an evil glare and then returned to its hole. The deer continued on his journey as he had been for three months. He made it to a place where humans lived.
