He walked steadily with her by his side, he was still shocked that she had not been all too afraid, or call him a freak. He felt accepted. She took a hold of his tail while they were walking, and he fell. He quickly stood up and snapped "Are you trying to kill us?! It's enough with you by my side but please try not to drag us down.". She stood shocked at his words and tears formed in her eyes, she nodded quickly. He sighed and said "There is a valid reason not to pull an animals tail. It connects to their spine which connects to their brain and limbs so when you pulled my tail, I lost balance. And it made me look like a fool. It could potentially damage my brain and make me unstable. I sincerely apologize for snapping, just please don't do it again.".

She hugged onto him and he made a face which looked upon by anyone else they knew she was pestering him, but deep inside, he kind of liked this new, unknown gesture. "What are you doing?" he said puzzled. "I'm hugging you!". His face scrunched up in even more confusion. "...hug?". She snickered and began to explain; "A hug is a gesture made out of excitement, a loss, or for comfort. It is also a greeting of close friends, and family.". As soon as she let go he started running. "You'd better catch up if you want to stay!" she immediately began after him. Some time of running through the forest, they found a lake and took rest on the shore.

As soon as he had fallen asleep, she cuddled up next to him for heat and comfort. After some time a familiar sound woke him. A sound of humans. He nuzzled her worriedly to wake up. Half awake, she groaned. He frantically said to her "We need to leave, quickly!". She was still half asleep and stayed there. He sat in panic for a moment and thought about all the bad things that might happen. He decided he can't let her stay here and face that fate again after so much effort. He hoisted her up on his antlers and galloped away as fast as his body would let him. He kept looking around, frantic, scared. She lifted her head and held onto his fur, she was frightened at the speed they were advancing at. She pulled his fur and he came to a stop, throwing her off unintentionally.

He looked up to try to find her, his heart racing, he could not find her. He heard her moaning in agonizing pain on a high branch and looked behind him, directing his ears the opposite direction they were headed. "They're coming near!". He used his strong legs to bound himself up, and leaned to land on a large branch. He looked down awaiting their arrival. He saw a mob of humans flooding the direction they were going. Angry, searching... He held her close, but loosened his grip and decided to jump down.

A loud thud resulted from his hooves plummeting the ground. All eyes were on him. Everyone's faces ranged from anger, to twisting fear, to curiosity. He spoke loud and asserted, "Why are you here. This is not the land of humans, if I remember, this is the land of creatures.".

A familiar human responded, angered "Then how come you entered OUR land just a day ago?". The deer gave him a an infuriated death glare. "I didn't come with an intention to kill. I never judged by the strange looks of your kind. I do not possess evil within me to discriminate something not of my own. Your haste and hatred will ruin the world as all the world's organisms will know it. Ironic you guys can't accept change, isn't it? That's all you humans are." he stopped for a moment and looked around at all of them. "You all should've stayed where you belong...". He jumped up high and quickly snatched the girl, bounded off of another tree branch above the trees looking for the geese.
