Dominique

I was walking anxiously through campus, trying my best to stay calm. I walked into one of the lecture halls to go to my next lecture. I looked down at a case study I was prepping for when I suddenly bumped into someone. I looked up to see Ethan & I felt inedibly embarrassed.

"Aye," he smiled weakly.

"Hi," I nodded & tried to walk past him.

"I'm so sorry about last night. It wasn't right of me I know. I just couldn't resist you. You're irresistible Dominique," he sighed.

"It's okay. It was my fault. I should've stopped you sooner. But I don't think we can see each other like that anymore," I looked down.

"Oh I understand," he looked down also, "I'll see you around I guess."

"Have a good day," I hung my head in shame & walked into the lecture.

"You were a beast out there," Max complimented me as he took my mask, "but something's wrong. You didn't bring your A game."

"It's just that," I held the bridge of my nose & took the bottle of xanex pills from the table, "I almost slept with Ethan last night," I popped three in my mouth & drank a glass of Brandy nearby.

"What!" Max yelled as he tossed over a chair.

"I stopped myself before he took off my clothes. Your voice was ringing in my head. About my reputation," I sighed.

"First of all, that's weird that you thought of me. Second, what the hell were you thinking Dominique? I told you to drop that boy," he put his hands up in distress.

"I was going to & I did today. When I saw him. It was so awkward God," I rolled my eyes & poured myself a glass of Brandy.

"But before?" he asked with eyes of fury.

"Well, he bought me a really good book & asked me to hang out so I said yes. We were playing video games & I just almost messed up," I drank.

"You better not mess up again. Otherwise you'll be like the rest of these untalented whores," he cursed, "you can't even see him anymore. If he walks your way, turn & walk."

"I will," I nodded as a tear fell down my face.

"Don't cry darling," he said, "it's for your own good," he nodded. I sat down & kept drinking the Brandy.

"Not too much, you still gotta go out there," he stopped me, "tomorrow is dispersal week. Be ready," he stood up & walked into the back room.
