Now in my fourth year at Hogwarts and closer to the boys than ever. Even today I still have a spot for Seamus, he is still blowing things up and even burnt the ends of my hair in potions class once but instead of having a go at him I just laughed.

"Hey guys! I heard the Yule ball's coming up soon" Neville reminded me, Dean and Seamus. We were just lounging round the black lake just outside Hogwarts castle, we were just relaxing since it was near Christmas time and Neville just had to bring up the subject of the ball which I was silently praying he wouldn't bring up.

"Ugh! I hate dancing!" I I exclaimed whilst resting my head on Dean's shoulder and Seamus playing with my fingers.

"I bet your a great dancer!" Seamus said trying to lighten the mood. I just shook my head, my mother taught me how to dance once but I lost all of my rhythm.

"Well I think I know who I'd like to take" Neville spoke quietly.

"That's wonderful Neville.. who?" I applauded him then questioned full of curiosity.

"Ginny" he said with a blush on his face.

"Aww cute" I said.

"How about you guys?" I asked Dean and Seamus.

"I think I'm going to take one of the Patil twins, possibly Parvati" Dean confessed as I smiled at his honesty.

"How about you?"I questioned Seamus but he seemed too lost in thought and playing with my fingers that he didn't hear my question. "Oi!?" I exclaimed thumbing his head.

"Huh? What?" He asked as I laughed at his stupidity.

"Who ya taking to the Yule ball?" I asked again this time losing my patience with the Irish boy.

"Oh! Um I dunno yet, I dunno who to ask. Well I do but I think she might say no, I dunno" he exclaimed putting his head down.

"Well just ask her, ya never know, she might just say yes" I told him as he looked up and smiled at me.

"Well what about you Rosanna?" Seamus asked.

"Me? Well obviously I see people but nobody has asked and if I'm perfectly honest I couldn't care less if nobody did" I said.

"Awww" the boys said in unison as we all sat together and watched the beautiful black lake.

Back in my dorm Hermione, Parvati and Lavender were just swarming with news about the ball and new hot wizards from Bulgaria. I however just sat on my bed upside down listening to their chatter.

"I hope either Harry Potter or Viktor Krum takes me to the ball" Parvati squealed. Oh poor Dean, who knows she might say yes.

"I hope Ron takes me, if he has the courage" Hermione said.

Ron has had a crush on Hermione since our second year. If he doesn't ask her then there is something major wrong with him.

"I'm not going to wait, I'm going to ask one of the boys myself!" Lavender exclaimed. "I'm going to ask Seamus Finnigan!" She yelled, with pure shock and heartbreak I fell off of my bed, Hermione helped me back up as I rubbed my temples softly.

After asking if I was okay they went back to their little pep-talk.

"I really hope he says yes. I've had a crush on him for years and I just can't wait any longer.

I looked at Lavender with envy. One major thing about Lavender was she always got her way and if she didn't... she never. Gave. Up!
