Christmas Kisses With Seamus

(Rosanna's Yule Ball dress photo) Now the Yule ball was in one hour! Oh God I'm going to look like a fool without a date but aw well, Seamus confessed that if Lavender didn't torment him he'd of asked me! Aw he was probably just trying to make me feel better. I was pulled out of my thoughts by sound of Lavender's voice.

"What are you WEARING?!?" Lavender screamed in confusion as she glared at my dress.

"What's wrong with it?" I asked with curiosity and a tint of anger in my voice

"Rosanna! Your a pretty girl but that dress is awful!" She commented

"Lavender how about you go about your business and bother about your own dress?" I spoke angrily, with Lavender noticing I wasn't in the mood she just shook her head in disgust and left the dorm.

I looked at the clock and saw it turn twelve, the Yule ball was beginning right now! I sat there not wanting to move, scared I'd make a fool of myself for going to the ball without a date.
I thought of my friends and how they had dates.
Neville had Ginny
Dean had Parvati
And Seamus could of had me but instead he had Lavender!

I wiped my eyes and walked out of my dorm and dorm into the common room, literally everybody had gone, nobody was left.
I decided to go down to the great hall and go to the ball.

As soon as I got there I opened the doors and closed them behind me loudly. Everybody stopped dancing and looked my way, even the music stopped. I stood there, my face going bright red, as I came down the stairs everybody started whispering, my heart started beating rapidly as my mind wondered to all the things that my fellow classmates may be talking or possibly teasing me about.

"Hey look everybody! Rosanna doesn't even have a date!" Draco announced as all of slitherin started laughing and a few people in hufflepuff began giggling.

"She does have a date!" I heard a voice speak.

"Me!" The boy said as he stepped out of the crowd I saw it was Fred Weasley.

I smiled as he covered for me, he came over to me and led me to the dance floor. As soon as we were in the middle the music began again.

"Thanks Fred" I said "Did you see Draco's face?" I giggled as we started waltzing.

"Bet the little git don't have nowt to say now does he?" He questioned whilst laughing.

We were dancing for ages me and Fred, I'm so glad he covered for me.
I looked around the room and saw the boys falling hopelessly in love with their dates apart from one... Seamus.

I looked over and saw Lavender with her arms wrapped around Seamus' neck and her head resting peacefully on his chest, he looked my way and rolled his eyes at how cheesy Lavender was being.
I giggled quietly as he tried to pull her off.

Fred however was being called over by George to have their daily twin dance so he pulled away.

"It's been a pleasure dancing with you Rosanna" Fred spoke lightly kissing my hand

"Thank you for being my date and sticking up for me" I spoke back smiling. As he left with George I had nobody else I stood there wondering what to do.

I watched as Seamus attempted to untangle Lavenders fingers that were clinging on to him for dear life. He told her something that made her face drop and loosen her grip on him, he suddenly ran and made a B line for me, he grabbed my hand and ran out of the room dragging me behind.
I couldn't help but laugh as we ran out of Hogwarts castle and down to the black lake.

We finally stopped still laughing, I bent over my knees trying to desperately to catch my breath as Seamus laughed.

"What was all that about?" I questioned him.

"Lavender was doing me head right in, she was talking me ear off, then she was acting all cheesy" he rambled on.

I just laughed. He giggled himself before taking out his wand, he made as swift move with his wand and a jukebox appeared there in front of us. A slow song magically started to play.

"May I?" Seamus asked holding out his hand.

"Of course you may" I giggled as I took his hand and started to slow dance.

We danced for seemed like forever, we were extremely close to each other not wanting any space between us at all.
After the song finished we pulled away slightly, as I stared in his beautiful blue eyes I couldn't help but tell him how I feel.

"Seamus. I've been hiding this for so long, and I need to tell you..." I gathered up my courage as he stared at me in confusion. "I love you Seamus Finnigan! I always have. I never told you before because I was scared you'd turn away from me and not wanna be friends anymore. But I understand if you don't feel the same way, I just needed to get that out there," I sighed before looking down to the floor.

There was complete silence and before I knew it Seamus had pushed me up against the tree

"I love you too Rosanna, ever since you came to sit down with us on the train on your first day," Seamus spoke.

I was thrilled I smiled widely before grabbing Seamus' collar and kissing him passionately, automatically he kissed me back. We both shared a beautiful romantic kiss in the moonlight on Christmas Eve.
