Yule Ball

The Yule Ball was tonight and nobody, not one single wizard had asked me to go, but aw well, like I said before, I'm not one for dancing, I walked out of my dorm and into the Gryffindor common room where the Weasley twins were playing chess, Harry was play fighting with Ron and Dean and Neville were hanging up Christmas decorations.

I smiled and skipped towards them.

"Hey guys! Where's Seamus?" I asked looking round.

"He's still in the dorm, go and fetch him if you'd like" Neville called back to me concentrating on trying not to break the glass baubles like last year.

I sighed and ran to the boys dorm barging in to see Seamus with his head in his hands.

"Hey mate, you okay?" I questioned as I walked over to Seamus' bed and sat down next to him.

"No! I'm distraught!" He yelled "It's all that Lavender's fault and her endless whining!" He exclaimed.

"Seamus babes. PLEASE! Calm, down!" I pleaded him as he nodded and apologized.

"Now will please explain calmly what exactly has gotten into you" I asked.

He told me about how Lavender was following him all around Hogwarts yesterday like a lost puppy and kept on asking him if he would go to the Yule Ball with her. Lavender doesn't ask questions or have requests, she gives rules and orders. So simply because Lavender wouldn't shut up about the ball and kept on pestering him he decided to just get it over and done with and go with her, just to make her shut up.

"I actually was going to ask you yesterday." He said with a sad smile.

"Awww Sea" I cooed as I hugged him, he held me back tightly. I looked into his dreamy light blue eyes as he stared into my huge brown eyes, I could feel myself leaning in, he was too, we were nearly in the middle my heart pounding, lips at the ready.....

"Hey gu-" Dean barged in and stopped.. staring at us awkwardly as we pulled away quickly.

"Aww man I feel like I've just ruined something" Dean spoke.

"No! No nothing at all, I was just leaving" I said as I got up off the bed and quietly walked out.

Dean's POV
I went barging into my dorm where I thought Seamus and Rosanna would be, I walked in greeting them when I stopped in my tracks and noticed Rosanna and Seamus were going to kiss! I always knew he liked her! That's two cute but now I've ruined the moment and she sped off. I watched her leave gobsmacked then looked at my best friend with a huge grin who's cheeks were redder than cherry tomatoes.
I sat down next to him and said still with a huge grin"Okay Irish boy... spill"
