It had already been a month after their last interact (that night of thunderstorm), and Jungkook everyday wanted to knock on his neighbor's door and thank him but he never had the courage. This all is new to him as he's always been a straightforward person.

Today he was going to change that though. Although, in between the past month Jungkook had made two friends. Hoseok and through him, Yoongi. Of course Jungkook heard Taehyung cry to himself almost every night but he just didn't have the bravery to go over and comfort the lad.

"Oi Jungkook!" Hoseok yelled through the phone. Jungkook hissed and nursed his ears. "Hyung! You're loud!" A whine came from the other line. "Whatever. Are you sure you can?" Jungkook took a deep breathe and sighed. "Yeah. I just hope he'll want to talk to me and won't bring up that embarrassing moment." Hoseok laughed from the other side.

"Alright. Good luck! Me and Yoongi hyung are going to come over later and tell us what happens, okay?" Jungkook hummed and ended the called. He shoved his phone into his pocket and headed for his door. Before opening the door, he took a deep breathe again. "I can do this." He opened the door only to see a short male standing in front of Taehyung's door about to knock.

"Taetae! I'm here, open up babe!" Jungkook didn't know what part pierced him the most. Was it the fact that the lad called Taehyung Tae or the fact that he called Taehyung babe. He peeked through the door and waited whether Taehyung was going to open or not.

"Tae, hurry! I can't carry this anymore. Agh, my arms, ahhh, my arms, they're falling Tae!" Jungkook scoffed at how dramatic the male was being. He was simply carrying two plastic bags. Few seconds later, the door opened showing the boy who Jungkook hadn't talked in months. "Taetae!" The short male dropped the plastics and jumped onto the fragile boy who almost fell because of the weight on him.

"Ah! Jimin, you're heavy!" Taehyung stumbled forward, now Jungkook could fully see Taehyung. "But I missed you!" The lad on Taehyung whined and snuggled into Taehyung's neck. "It's only been a month." Taehyung chuckled. Jungkook stared at the two males hugging in awe. He laughed. Jungkook swore that was the most beautiful thing he's heard till now.

"That's a lot of time." Jimin huffed and hugged Taehyung tighter. "Yeah, yeah. Get down, I can't hold you anymore. You've gain weight." Taehyung felt someone's presence and when he looked, he saw Jungkook staring at them. Taehyung quickly let go of Jimin. "Ow! My butt hurt! What'd you do that for?" Jimin pouted while nursing his back.

"Sorry, let's go in." Taehyung quickly walked inside the apartment. "Wait for me!" Jimin yelled and hurriedly sprinted inside following Taehyung with the bags.

Jungkook stared at the closed door of his neighbor whom he was going to talk today. Feeling his heart broken for some reason, he quickly shut his door and headed towards his bed. "I guess he's already taken."

Later that evening, Hoseok and Yoongi arrived at Jungkook's apartment. "So? What happened?" Hoseok wiggles his eyebrows while Jungkook just shook his head. "Nothing happened." Suga forwarded his hand towards Hoseok with a smirk. "C'mon, gimme my twenty bucks." Hoseok whined taking out his wallet.

"I can't believe you two made a bet over this." Jungkook shook his head in disbelief at his two friends. "Hey it's not my fault I think you wouldn't be able to talk to him." Yoongi laughed.

"Whatever. I'll go to sleep." Jungkook got up. "Ayy! Stop feeling sad." Hoseok pulled him back on the couch. "But he has a boyfriend! I won't even have a chance." Jungkook softly ended his sentence. "Aw, don't be sad Jungkookie, from the looks of it, Taehyung wouldn't have a boyfriend." Yoongi said.

"Hyung, that short guy was calling Taehyung babe and TaeTae." Jungkook rolled his eyes remembering how the lad called Taehyung. "Maybe it's all misunderstanding?" Hoseok said with a question. "Look, we gotta go, but remember we're here for you." Hoseok and Yoongi stood up. "Be sure to eat the black bean noodles I brought."

Jungkook hummed and walked them to the door. He yawned before waving at them. "See you guys tomorrow!" Just as his friends were leaving, the male from earlier came outside of Taehyung's apartment. When they made eye contact, Jimin smiled at him.

Flustered, Jungkook quickly looked away. "Good night." Jimin said to him and walked away. Jungkook stared at the male weirdly before looking over at Taehyung's door.

He rushed inside his room to bring a note paper and a pen. He quickly scribbled few words and knocked on Taehyung's door.

Few seconds later, the door peeked open. When Taehyung saw Jungkook, he quickly opened the door fully. "Hi, can we talk?" Jungkook nervously said. Taehyung nodded and stood aside to let Jungkook in. "First of all, I want to say that I am sorry. I'm sorry for saying I wanted to be friends," when he looked up, he saw Taehyung's hurt face. "I mean, I'm sorry for wanting to be your friends but not talking to you for over a month. I'm sorry for not checking on you. I'm sorry that I just stopped talking after our first few interacts." He took a deep breathe.

"I was actually embarrassed about that night. I was happy that you came over, hopefully because you remembered my fear of the rain, but the fact that I was crying like a little kid was embarrassing. I didn't want you to see that side of me. And lastly, I'm sorry for not thanking you the day after for comforting me." Jungkook smiled at Taehyung. "Thank you was all I wanted to say but all these words came, sorry." He chuckled.

"It's okay." Taehyung mumbled. "I heard you cry almost every night but held myself not to come over because I was afraid of what you'd think of me." Jungkook looked away. "I'm sorry if my cries were annoying. I didn't mean to." Taehyung's longest sentence yet.

Jungkook shook his head and hands. "Of course not! I know this is way, way too early but I like, no love you. I honestly felt attracted to you in some way since the first time I saw you at the pastry I now work at." Taehyung lowered his head. "Please don't like me." Taehyung said after a while.

Jungkook looked at Taehyung with broken eyes. "Why not? Why can't I?" Jungkook stood up and walked towards Taehyung. "Because you're the same." Taehyung mumbled. "Why do you think so?" Jungkook questioned, sitting in front of Taehyung. "Because everyone is the same."

"No, they're not." Jungkook raised Taehyung chin up. "I'm not telling you to like me back. I know you have a boyfriend but I'm just letting myself out before we probably don't ever talk again." Jungkook chuckled. "Boyfriend?" Taehyung finally looked at Jungkook. "That guy who was clinging onto you this afternoon."

"He's my best friend." Taehyung looked away again. "Oh, he's your best friend. I thought he was your boyfriend as he was calling you babe and such."

"No, he's my best friend. He likes to use those words a lot and so he's always calling me one." Jungkook slowly nodded. "Ah, no matter what he is, I'll still like you. It's my decision to like you. I just hope you won't push me away or avoid me after this."

Taehyung stayed silent. "Hyung, please stay being my friend even if you don't like me. I'll make you like me but for the time being, please be my friend. Let's talk more and hang out, hmm?" Taehyung nodded and Jungkook couldn't be much happier.
