Chris was surrounded by young girls by the time Yurio, Viktor, and Yuuri got downstairs. Micky and Emil were laughing about times before the GPF, and Pichit was taking sneaky pictures of everyone.
"Oh boy." Yuuri said, smiling awkwardly. "Last year I hid in my room for this part, and I think I was right to do so."
"I hate to admit it, but I have to agree with you, pig." Yuri said, looking around the lobby.  Over in the off center of the room was his new friend, Otebek, JJ and his fiance. It wasn't long until Otebek felt Yuri's stare, and excused himself from the conversation.
When Otebek made it to where the three were, Yuri was glaring at JJ. "Don't be to close to that cheater, you'll catch something from him." Yuri said, looking steamed.
"It still amazes me that JJ got third, somehow that doesn't seem fair." Yuuri said, rubbing the back of his neck and waving hi to Otebek.
"JJ IS A CHEATER, THERE'S NOTHING TO UNDERSTAND." Yuri yelled, making sure JJ heard. JJ looked at Yuri from across the room and just winked at him. Otebek had to hold him back from running across the room.
"Yuri, it's fine." Otebek said, looking straight ahead.
"Ugh. Whatever. Viktor, Yokav is down the hall, he wants you to talk to him."
"Alright, Yuuri, stay here. I'll be right back." Viktor said, starting to walk away.
"Alright..." Yuuri said, waving to him.
"Yokav was your coach for a day, right, Yuuri?" Otebek said "Must have been different from goo-goo eyes"
"Huh? Oh, did Yurio tell you that? Well, it definitely was different, but I can see where Viktor got his scolding habits from."
"Hey guys! There you are, we've been looking for you." Emil called, jogging up to them. "It's been a while, how have you been?" Emil said, smiling like a goof.
"Everything been going fine, Emil...Thanks," Yuuri can't really look at him or Micky right now, remembering his "episode" back at the cup of China.
"Emil!" A girl called, "Oh, hi Yuuri, Yurio, Otebek!" Sala said, coming up behind Emil.
"Oi, what do you want." Yurio said, glaring at the ceiling. I should have stayed in my room. Yurio thought.
"Don't be so mean! I just wanted to congratulate you guys."
"Mm." Otebek said, nodding his head.
"Thank you Sala, and I heard you placed second on your tournament, congrats." Yuuri said.
"Oh you did? Wow!" Emil said, patting her on the back.
"Don't touch her!" Micky said, glaring and coming way to close to Emil. While the few were arguing, Yuuri took this chance to sneak away.
Agh...Last nights banquet was better then this.
"Vitya, you can't be serious." A voice broke through Yuuri's thoughts. He hid behind a wall to look around the corner to see Viktor and Yokav arguing.
"I don't expect you to understand, but this is how I want to go about making my come back."
"By continuing to play pretend coach?! Vitya, I've coached you for years, I should know when you're bluffing, but I can't."
"That's because I'm not."
Can they hear my heart beating? God this is so nerve wracking, should I really be listening??
"Viktor, please. I understood why you quit skating when you cut your hair, when your father-"
"Don't mention him," A sharp tone hit Viktors voice.
"I understood those reasons, but this is a chase to which you will never see the finish line of."
Silence was all there was, except for the yelling down the hall in the lobby.
And the small footsteps from Yuuri.
"It's been a little less then a year now..." What am I doing?! "And Viktor has...Has been through so much with me. I think it's up to him how he wants to go about his life." Oh god...
"Yuuri..." Viktor had a look of amazement on his face.
"A-and, if his choices are something you don't approve of, so be it, Yokav. You can only do something for so long b-before the color of the world drains."
The three of them were silent, Yuuri was bright red and slightly trembling.
"Yuuri-" before the silence could be broken any further, Yuuri grabbed Viktors had and ran down the hall, leaving Yokav with a look of bewilderment and anger on his face.
They'd rounded two corners and hid in the near by stair well, out of breath and flushed.
"Sorry, Viktor, I don't know what came over me..." But Viktor had already wrapped him in a hug, making them lean against a wall. "V-Viktor!" The two sled down, Viktor laying his head on Yuuri's shoulder, breathing deeply.
"Thank you, you stolen me away from Yokav twice now." Viktor laughed into Yuuri's shoulder. Yuuri just held Viktor, almost petting his back and laughing with him.
