RWBY: This is War

Destiny

"Weiss we have to get to the tower." Ruby says standing up and holding her hand out.

Weiss takes the young girl's hand and they take off toward Beacon Tower.

Atop the tower stand three ladies, Cinder, Phyrra and the white figure.

"Who are you and what do you want!" Phyrra yells out at the two.

Cinder turns and cocks a crooked smile.

"Well my little Goddess, I'm here to wake up a friend. You see he's been sleeping for far too long and it's our job to wake him." She then points to the white figure who blows into what seems to be a horn that bellows out a low but loud sound.

The horn could be heard for miles as it shakes the ground. The sound soon stops but the shaking doesn't. Across the horizon Mnt Glenn started to crumble releasing a foul looking beast.

Pitch black scales running down it's body, pure white jagged teeth that drip with saliva, blood red wings and eyes. The beast roars out and soon takes flight heading right for the school.

On the ground screams of terror can be heard as people run. Ruby and Weiss get pushed and shoved but still make it to the bottom of the tower.

"Okay. What now?" Ruby says looking up.

"You didn't think of a plan!?"

"Why am I the plan maker??"

"Your the leader you dolt! Ugggg!" Weiss yells slapping her own face.

"Wait wait I got it! Use your glyphs to shoot me up the side like we did with the Nevermore!"

"That's better."

"Alright, whenever you're ready!"

"Wait!" Weiss quickly grabbes Ruby by her shoulders and kisses her firmly and passionately.

Ruby wraps her arms around Weiss and for a second almost forgot what was happening. But the kiss is soon broken from the sound of the flying beast's roar getting louder.

"Be safe Ruby."

"Don't worry, it's me you're talking to remember?" Ruby chuckles at Weiss readying her glyphs.

Not a second later is Ruby running up the side of the tower as fast as she can.

"You.... fight well.... child." Cinder says as she holds her side.

Phyrra has been using all her energy to fight Cinder while the white figure just stood and watched. It kept eyeing her as if something would happen soon.

A loud crash could beheard as the tower leans left and right making everyone loose their footing. The beast has arrived at the tower and starts to climb up growling as drops of black fall off it spawing new Grimm.

"My friend is finally here. Now to take care of you!"

Cinder lunges forward continuing the fight. Both of them attacking as hard as they could. The clash of metal on metal rings out, grunts of effort and exhaust. Although soon Cinder gains the upper hand.

"GAH!" Phyrra cries out as her heel is punctured by an arrow.

"Heh... you put up more the I thought you would... maybe you could have been the Maiden. But it's too late for you." She says walking over to the girl and pulling back an arrow.

Phyrra looks up at the woman and stares her in the eyes. Her gaze as strong and bold as ever.

"Do you believe in destiny?"

Cinder frowns and let's the arrow fly.

*wheeze*

Phyrra gasps as the arrow goes through the middle of her chest and shatters her ribs, spine and lungs as well as blood vessels. Blood drips from the young girl's mouth as her head leans back and she stares at the night sky.

"I do." Cinder holds onto Phyrra's crown as her body turns to dust then lets it drop to the ground with a clank.

"Phyrra!?" Ruby shouts as she watches the scene before her.

Cinder turns to her and raises her hand to the white figure behind her.

"Crimson. Please deal with this pest."

Crimson pulls her hood back showing a face just like Ruby's but older.

She cracks a grin and darts toward Ruby.

At the same moment the beast's head thrusts over the side of the building crashing into Crimson and Ruby knocking them over.

"No no no! You're supposed to attack the girl!" Cinder yells, Ruby stands up as quickly as she could and readying her weapon.

Crimson soon gets up and goes to attack the girl again.

Ruby, with tears streaming down her cheeks, runs forward screaming. Her eyes glow bright and she jumps up and over Crimson and slashes at Cinder.

But before she could hit her everything around her turns white and fades. The only sound was a slight ring and nothing more.
