Hello everyone, thanks for reading this.
I am trying to write down the most interest things that I do here during my 6 months studying abroad in a boarding school here in NY! I am from Chile and I am 15.

Some people say that new year means 365 new opportunities in life, to achieve all the things you couldn't last year or overall just to become a better person. For me this new year it means that I am turning 17, that I am taking a lot of exams in order to keep studying abroad, so this year I will have to challenge my self. And if everything is how I've been planning, I am going to finish my two years of high school abroad. Today is the first day of January and I am just thinking about how grateful I am about everything that life has gave it to me all over the years. Not only the fact that at 16 years old I am settled down in one of the world biggest city, also all the little moments that I have had in my youth, the pressure to live every day, the laughs, the dreams, the plans, and I am even grateful for the tears that are necessary sometimes. Without tears we wouldn't appreciate happiness. Although my health isn't good, here has been way more better, I have been sick only two times in three months, which is practically nothing comparing to how it was in Chile. I am sick now, but that doesn't bother me. I have learnt this year that there are some signals in life that make you do things you hadn't planned before. If you cant do something today, you can maybe do it tomorrow, and it's totally fine, that we don't have to compare ourselves with others, everyone has their own talent and we all have to try our best in that thing that we know we are good at. I feel so happy and blesses for every decision I have done this year and for all the things I have accomplished and also for my defeats, they have strengthened me. I have to say that being far from my dad, who is the person I most talk to, was something good in some ways. Probably with him by my side I wouldn't have realized about the things I have realized now. And since 27th I am staying with him on a hotel located in Times Square. I missed him so much, I also missed speaking spanish sometimes. He came here with his girlfriend, that is so nice. I am so happy for him. He finally found someone good enough for him. We all have been eating in Pret a Manger almost everyday and I love it. The food is organic and healthy. I have tried most of the juices and the sandwiches. We all went together to Macys, top of the rock, one world trade center, empire state, central park, madame tussads and we want to go to statue of liberty and the Met before we go to Los Angeles, California.
