As the weeks rolled past Rose and Michael's relationship began to blossom and soon enough Rose had moved in with Michael, they were incredibly sexually active and Rose had to start taking contraceptive pills since she didn't want to become pregnant since she would be abandoned by her grandfather.

Everyday Michael wanted to propose to Rose but he couldn't bring himself to do it and since Rose wanted to live in England with her grandfather he felt it might be a bit pointless since she would never accept. The day he was dreading soon came, the day that Rose was scheduled to get on the airplane for the last time to leave America and to officially start her life in England with her grandfather and her fiancée. Michael drove Rose to the airport but neither said a word to each other throughout the journey since they were both sad that Rose was leaving, when they arrived at the airport Michael and Rose climbed out of the car and walked into the terminal hand in hand. They arrived at the check in desk, Rose put her suitcases onto the conveyer belt then she turned to face Michael and they both kissed for (what they thought would be) the final time.

Just as they finished kissing Rose's fiancée suddenly appeared out of nowhere and grabbed her waist then pulled her roughly towards him, 'sorry sir but this lady is taken' George (Rose's fiancée) smirked. 'Michael this is George my fiancé' Rose introduced 'George this is my brother Michael' she added. 'A pleasure, but darling your grandfather said your brother's name is Eric and he died in the fire' George insisted, 'yeah grandfather also said I was adopted by the Jackson family from Indiana. I'm Michael's adopted sister' Rose whispered into George's ear. 'Oh right. Well darling we really need to board the plane, you need to get your rest for the wedding tomorrow' George smiled at Rose. 'Ok. Bye Mike I'm really gonna miss you' Rose said sadly looking at Michael. George put his arm around Rose's back then they began to walk off but Rose couldn't bear not hugging Michael 'goodbye' so she spun around and ran towards Michael.

She threw her arms around his neck and Michael threw his arms around her waist, they both hugged then Michael kissed her lips. George saw them kiss and speedily walked over to the couple, he pulled Rose away then he punched Michael in the mouth. Michael fell to the floor then George yanked Rose away 'why did you hit him?!' Rose yelled at George as he led her away, 'he needed to learn that nobody steals my property' he replied tightening his grip around Rose's arm. 'I'm not your property' Rose hissed, 'this time tomorrow you will be' he answered viciously, he gripped her arm even tighter than he had before and she began wincing with pain. 'Will you let go of me' Rose asked in pain, George loosened his grip on Rose's arm but only because they were near to the plane.

Rose and George boarded the plane and sat down; Rose sat next to the window and looked out of it. George also looked out of the window Rose then turned her head away from the window. The pilot welcomed the passengers onto the plane then the stewardesses began the safety procedures, when the procedures where complete the plane took off. Rose decided to go to sleep for a while but it wasn't long before she was awoken by George saying her name, 'what is it?' Rose asked looking up at George. 'You need to go and put this on' George replied handing her a dress, 'why' Rose questioned 'because your grandfather will be waiting for you and I don't think he will be pleased you turning up looking like a tramp' George insisted. Rose didn’t argue she just stood up and walked over to the toilets carrying the dress.

She slipped the dress on and sat back down next to George. The dress was knee length, lilac, it had long sleeves and it was a V-neck, George then noticed her shoes and told her to swap her trainers for a pair of heels. The plane soon landed in the English airport, George held Rose's hand all the time so that she couldn't run off. He told her to put some make-up on since her face looked too simple and not beautiful enough, Rose then had to put her hair into a style. When Rose was given the seal of approval from George he took hold of her hand and they walked into the baggage area to collect their bags then they went outside to where their chauffer was waiting to take them to Lord Jefferson’s home.

It wasn't long before they arrived, Lord Jefferson was stood at the living room window wearing a black tuxedo, when he saw Rose and George arrive he walked slowly away from the window and towards the front door. He hugged Rose when he saw her then he shook George’s hand, 'Rose darling why don't you go upstairs and bathe for a while, I'm sure you'll feel much better' George insisted. Rose walked up the stairs and when she was out of sight Lord Jefferson said to George 'just one more day my boy, that's all you have to wait. One short more day until you can consummate your marriage.' 'All I can say to that my lord is that I cannot wait, I shall finally have an heir for my estate' George grinned. Rose heard this from upstairs and she instantly felt sick to her stomach, she walked into her bedroom and locked the door behind her.

She leant against the door then slid down it until she was sat on the floor, she held her knees up to her face and sobbed ‘is that all he wants me for, to give him an heir' she whispered, she sat there for a while sobbing and thinking about her years growing up and how her life dramatically changed when she arrived in England for the first time. After a while George hurried up the stairs and knocked on the bedroom door 'are you alright my darling?' he asked from outside the door 'erm yes George' Rose answered rushing into the bathroom. She quickly got undressed and climbed into the bath that was full to the brim with warm water and bubbles, 'can I come in?' George asked. 'The door's locked' Rose said, George turned the door knob and the door opened 'no it isn’t’ he insisted walking into the bedroom. 'Oh it must have got jammed or something then' Rose suggested, George walked into the bathroom where Rose was laying in the bath.

He knelt down beside the bath and rested his elbow on the rim of the bath; he stared at Rose in admiration for he adored her with all of his heart. 'Just one more day my sweet then we shall be man and wife' he smiled taking her hand in his 'yeah one day' Rose repeated unimpressed, 'you seem preoccupied darling, what's wrong?' he asked sympathetically. 'Nothing I was thinking about the Jackson's that's all' Rose insisted. 'Don't worry you'll never have to see them again my darling I'll make sure of it' George insisted standing up and kissing Rose's hand. He then walked out of the room before she could say a word, just like her grandfather, George was very racist so he really didn't care about the Jackson family. It wasn't long before Rose climbed out of the bath and she put her clothes on then climbed into bed, she fell asleep but she hoped that the morning was a long way a-way since she didn't want her wedding day to come.

Unluckily the morning soon came and one of the maids ran into the room to awaken Rose, she groaned because she didn’t want to get married to George. The maid helped Rose to put on the dress, style her hair and apply her make-up but all the time Rose was crying since she was so sad. When she was ready her bouquet of flowers were handed to her and she was escorted to the car that was to take her to the church in which the marriage was to take place. Rose soon arrived at the church and she climbed out of the car and walked inside the church, the ceremony began and to Rose's dismay the words she didn't want to hear were soon said 'I know pronounce you man and wife' George kissed Rose which she really hated since his moustache tickled her nose and it was prickly. Both of them walked up the aisle and instantly drove back to Lord Jefferson's mansion to consummate the marriage which Rose was not looking forward to.
