The God that Changed Everything

Chapter 2- Jake...

"What are you doing here?! I thought you were going to Helena on a business trip." said Chloe as he face turned a bright red as she looked at me wearing my tux that I swear took a long process to get from the store. I'm glad that Lake had offered to take me shopping earlier to find the right one for the moment.

"I had a change of plans on the way to Helena that forced me into a different packs territory." I said with a smile because I couldn't tell her the truth quite yet. This plan had to go exactly as Lake and I planned it.

"I know that this isn't your job as a waiter so why are you taking 'my order'?" she asked as she glanced her eyes over the others in the restaurant. I expected she was looking for Taylor because she was part of the plan to hide with a camera. This plan is coming together just as I hoped it would.

"This day is special to me...and it will be to you as well," I said as I put the notepad on the table and started to kneel down, on the marble floor of the restaurant, to her level with her hands in mine. Her face was shocked and her cheeks were starting to get red, "Chloe, we haven't known each other for a long time. But being with you every day felt like a million years to me. The way you can suddenly smile makes my heart quicken and your laugh makes me feel like you are a shining light. Every day is fun and a great adventure with you. Chloe Sential...," I started to say as I released my hands from her's as I reached into the workers inside breast pocket to get the black box, "Will you marry me?" I said and everyone in the restaurant awed and their stares went through my back. They were informed beforehand about my proposal because this was a very special day.

 Chloe's eyes started to get glassy with tears and her lips trembled with a smile. She then launched herself at me, wrapping her arms around my neck for a big hug, "Yes, yes, a million time yes!" she cried into my shoulder for a few short moments, but when she finally stopped her crying, we lightly kissed and I puled the gold ring encrusted with more gold with three pieces of diamond onto her marriage finger. The middle diamond was the biggest put of the three that were on it.

 The werewolves in the restaurant congratulated us and clapped so loud that it sounded like we were in an auditorium. Even though we were being congratulated right and left, I bet that they didn't even think that all of them even knew that we were werewolf gods.

"Congratulations you love birds." said Taylor as she shoved her phone, that was recording, into our faces. It was almost too close because I literally had to move away from it.

"Taylor! Were you in on this?" Chloe said and she was half yelling and laughing as she asked Taylor. Her face was bright red like she was told something that she didn't wish to hear.

"Hehe. Guilty as charged!" she said before she turned off her phone now that she caught the moment on tape. I wanted to be able to look back at the video in the future to look back in those memories. And to be completely honest, my heart was beating a mile per minute because I was so afraid to be rejected. It would have broken my heart.

 As the night went on as wolves left and new ones entered, we got congratulated throughout the night and some even had flowers. I didn't plan on anybody bringing flowers but it was nice. Plus, I wasn't able to take them so I had to make Taylor hold onto them because we would be leaving shortly.

 We enjoyed our food as well and the conversations with Taylor never ended on an awkward note. She always had the best stories to tell that would make me laugh my sock off. During our conversations, I would glance around the restaurant and others would stare at us.

 The rest of dinner, Chloe was holding my hand and the heat that emanated from her body was so powerful that I could feel it through my fake disguise.

 Taylor took Chloe's car back to her house with all of the flowers that we got from others while I took Chloe into my car and we were on our way to somewhere she would love.
